sff: I managed to think edition
Also, be sober.
BSG only, though I watched classic Mission Impossible and it was awesome and Duck Dodgers, and it was awesome, too.
Things I liked about the episode.
1. Ellen. <3 <3 <3 <3 Except for that part where she isn't telling Bill Adama to shove his emo useless self and stealing the hot pilots and going off to rescue Hera.
2. BITCHY SIX. Of course, she quickly dies. BUT FURTHER PROOF THAT PILOTSIXES ARE AWESOME and will integrate into pilot culture well.
3. Roslin being all "I'm bored with you old man, gimme the fucking weed" at Adama.
4. Opera House!
5. "You will always be my Sam." Hey, I think half of us have written that scene, minus the dead guy in the tank of course.
6. Tensions between cylons and humans during maintenance stuff, yay.
7. Caprica and Gaius talking. FINALLY. Someone remembered they used to talk.
8. SONJA vs Quorum. <3 (although, like, really? Really, Sonja? You're going to listen to Adama? After being all OMG WE SHOULD RUN AWAY RFN for four episodes running?)
Things that made no sense:
1. So, last episode, when the Cylons went "Let's hook Anders up to the datastream", Cottle's reply was "gtfo of my infirmary, you crazy people." And yet this episode, he apparently is all for it--and without Kara's consent. Which Cottle had needed before to do shit, like, y'know, operate on Sam's brain. (I think Cottle would notice if they unhooked Sam from those machines and hauled him off to a room nearby with weird and wacky technology inside of it)
2. Where's the brain doc? How come he's not there to be all gleeful about them hooking Sam up to shit, since, y'know, he was so happy about Sam having a bullet in his brain?
3. I don't really give a shit about him, but where the fuck was Tyrol?
4. Boomer is like a flip-flop thingy. One minute she's Cavil's programmed RealDoll, the next they're claiming she's a real person.
5. Hey, Lee! Nice to see you again! Hilarious that you're using the pilot ready room to converse with them all.
Things that were boring and/or pissed me off:
1. Adama. Paint. Ugh. We saw this scene in Sine Qua Non or even prior. wtf. Don't need to see it AGAIN.
2. Sam as hybrid. Really, Ron? You're really going to go the schlocky, pointless, SF route when you claim this show is All About the Characters? Really?
3. Lee, after a month+ of ignoring Kara, suddenly remembers he can get laid.
4. I find it hilarious that Ron claimed last week in the podcast that Sam was originally going to wake up and be drinking with Kara in the bar at the end of that episode.
5. KILLING A SIX. AGAIN. To save some stupid human.
6. Um. Hera hated Boomer. I don't see her bonding that fast with her. Sorry.
7. Why are we subjected to yet more Saul and Bill Bonding Time? I DO NOT CARE ABOUt THEM. AND THEY ARE FUCKING BORING.
8. I am quite certain we will not see Kara and Sam's Ultimate Playlist Adventures conversation.
9. Helo apologizing to Adama. WTF WTF WTF WTF.
10. Helo and Athena still actually being there. HE SHOT HER THAT ONE TIME, YOU KNOW....
In closing:
1. NOT ENOUGH PAULLA.
2. WTF HYBRID.

I'm possibly still annoyed that Hera went with Boomer at all. Didn't they establish that Hera could tell them apart?
The Sam/Kara thing. I...after reading numerous positive reviews, I'm still filled with rage and hatred over it. I get all the love coming for the shippy aspects, but just the concept...it kind of retcons a good number of things I loved about them.

I'm looking at you, Supernatural.no subject
I'm told there was a deleted scene with the Chief in the brig for his part in helping Boomer last week.

But how do they know each other? Did they meet in Season Three?
Just being silly.

Eeeee Yes!
So, last episode, when the Cylons went "Let's hook Anders up to the datastream", Cottle's reply was "gtfo of my infirmary, you crazy people."
Well, to be fair, he never actually objected to the Hybrid idea- that was just something the Eight muttered as they were leaving. He objected to her giving Kara false hope that Sam might get better. I could buy him going along with it, because he thinks Sam's gone anyway. It's the doing it without Kara's consent that doesn't make sense.
Helo and Athena still actually being there. HE SHOT HER THAT ONE TIME, YOU KNOW....
Well, if he shoots her this time, she won't resurrect. And they don't even know where to begin looking. BUT YES, HELO SHOULD NOT HAVE APOLOGIZED. God Adama sucks.
Why are we subjected to yet more Saul and Bill Bonding Time? I DO NOT CARE ABOUt THEM. AND THEY ARE FUCKING BORING.
Adama makes everything boring, sadly. I can't stand him, but I kind of don't want him to die, because can you even imagine the scenery chewing we'll be subjected to?
Also, do you hear Eddie at that party we went to every time Adama starts in with the SSWA? Because I do. ;)

ohshit. Oh god. Yes. Yes, I do, now you point it out. (argh!)
And I really want to see the "convincing Cottle" scene, because, well, it had to be there. Unless he just didn't care. :/

I'm sorry! At least now I can share the pain. *cackles*
(Someone said that just as Grace Park has improved by leaps and bounds since season one, EJO has gotten that much worse. I... think they might have a point.)

I liked them too :D
YAY!!!
Kara putting her feeling into words. Of her own volition. This is truly sign of Apocalypse coming (or true love :P). Why wasn't there anyone to witness this event. Or was there?
Well, FF voted to stay. And cylons got the representative they wanted so I suppose they are just sticking to their side of the agreement.
1. I think Kara agreed on this. Nothing else was working and they offered a chance. But this didn't work either. And cylons are so obsessed with FF they would trow a fit if she just decided to disconnect him. You know, like with Eluana - people fighting whether to keep body alive or let it die. So she decided she should make it quick.
2. I think he was mentioned in last episode and probably was there during connecting.
3. I wondered about this too. Another victim of man/ship love time. For all his dislike of cylons Adama truly is the man in love with the machine. Maybe it's sentience he's got problem with.
4. I think it was much easier for Boomer when Hera was just an object to retrieve then when she became a real child. And like the dreamed of one. And when she finally wanted Boomer.
5. Colonial One is too small? Gives bad vibes? Is haunted?
I agree with most of these but especially about Helo. I thought they have more raptors then people to fly them (which BTW is funny too because Eights should be able to download Boomer's piloting skills, right?).
I'm so mad at Adama for Hera I actually sided with Laura the kidnapper on this and I've thought I would ever side with her on anything concerning Hera.
