BSG: ridiculous spec post
There are no spoilers for upcoming episodes here, just awesomely crap spec. 7 theories about Sam and Kara... (there are spoilers through tonight's episode, though)
1. Sam will become a hybrid. The prevailing fan theory is that Sam will become Galactica's hybrid (I wrote fic off that, though it was porn).
2. Sam will become the base ship's hybrid. I just now thought of this, but the Cylons have been very "we want Anders" over the last two episodes, one even mentioned hooking him up to the data stream on the base ship.
3. Sam is a hybrid and Kara, for some reason (maybe because she's an 'angel') will meld with him, a la Decker, V'ger and Ilia (we know Ron loves stealing old ST plotlines, just look at the botched 'what makes us sentient' stuff).
4. Sam is the hybrid on the base ship, Kara becomes hybrid on the Galactica. OUTERSPACE SHIP PORN, people. I bet the base ship thinks the battlestar is sexy.
5. None of the above. Sam wakes up. Kara confesses her love.
6. Sam doesn't wake up. Kara lets Cottle pull the plug.
7. Sam wakes up. Kara walks out and tells Lee it's time for babies.

Sam'll wake up, or do something that'll justify Trucco sitting in that chair for four weeks and counting or however long it's been - or he'd've died right away. You don't keep an actor around like that if you're not going to use him. It's Chekhov's coma patient.

Back in the first ep with Hellen 2.0, Cavil dropped a line about the colony not being destroyed. What colony was this? Maybe I missed something but the Five had a ship where they could download (Sam mentioned it befored he turned veggie) We also know the journey from Earth to the colonies took 2000 years (no jump tech, remember) so they had to have a way to download during the journey. So, where's the ship? I have a feeling we've not heard the last of it.

And I agree with the above. If there wasn't going to be a payoff of some kind with Sam, they wouldn't have kept Trucco around and sitting in that make-up chair.
