The internets stole [livejournal.com profile] palmetto from me.

You know who I want to kick? All those Cylons that thought they could just take Sam without Kara having something to say about it.

I want to kick the writers for giving us a shitty episode, to be honest. Ron keeps saying it's "all about the people and the characters", but it mostly seems to be all about nothing.

[identity profile] noybusiness.livejournal.com 2009-02-21 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
But seriously, how did they think they were going to accomplish that particular feat?

you really think they'd thought of that? You think they'd even taken Kara into consideration in any way, shape or form?

The writers certainly hadn't.

[identity profile] noybusiness.livejournal.com 2009-02-21 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Someone must write fic where she shows the Cylons what happens when you don't take Kara into consideration.

My other half worships the show, thinks it can do no wrong, and said after the last episode, "That was more forced than this entire season of 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl.'" I guess you'd have to know him to know how damning that statement was...

Um, Chief? Why are you suddenly deciding to abandon the ship? Oh, because the writers need you to do it or they won't have any conflict, and there's no way they can convincingly argue anyone else would take that side...

Seriously...that random 8 was WAY too clingy...Let's hope she sees something shiny near an airlock...*whoosh*

So was the Six. I take it as them being reverent towards the FF. Look how eager they are to listen to Tory (wtf, Tory, wtf).

Luckily for Sam in Daybreakverse, Punchline and Lemon mock the shit out of him and the rest of the cylon!pilots follow suit after a while.

Oh, Tory...I blame her hair for sucking up too much brain-power...It is pretty, though. Nice and shiny...Hey, random8 likes shiny things...It all makes sense now.

So true. This is a good thing, of course.

*pokes* Write that review soon? I haven't watched yet and need everyone's very informed and totally-not-biased opinion on the suckage before I can make up my mind about whether or not I want to. :)

*laughs* "It sucked when you apply logic to it" isn't enough? ;]

There's a way to watch TV without applying logic?!

Well, there's a glee-giggle-factor. Sort of? All I know is once the episode was over, all the stuff suddenly made less sense (although, during it, large portions don't make sense, either).

And it could take me a while. Jane Espenson sucks. (the last time I couldn't be bothered to talk about an episode was 'The Passage', which she also wrote. Though mostly because I was so pissed off at her killing Kat so arbitrarily and stupidly)

Also, there's a fic needing editing and another needing an ending.

[identity profile] prozacpark.livejournal.com 2009-02-22 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
I sort of stopped expecting sense out of this show mid-season three. So maybe it'd be less painful?

I don't remember being so horribly pissed about Kat's death, but that could've been because I was bored by the episode and sort of falling asleep. I thought that Kat's suicide fit into the "heroic suicide" pattern, usually reserved for men? So it wasn't as much of a gendered death, but I haven't watched the episode since I started noticing these things on BSG so I may be wrong. But, yes: That was a completely useless episode with a completely unneeded death.

*anticipates fic*

Yes, but the cracktasticness usually overwhelms it.

I'm sort of sleepy, but I was mostly annoyed by the skankiness of "old bf comes and threatens her with new out of the blue 'true' identity and forces her to have sex w/ him and Starbuck hates her and blah etc" of bits of it.

I do not know how good it is. It's hovering around the intersection of crack and 'cliche'.

*stomps all over Florida for you*

What did this hellhole of a state do this time?
