nnnng. at least it's Thursday.
I dreamt my roommates and I were trying to join some elite writers' workshop and the dude in charge was Very Nervous about letting us in and told us his fellow (male) writers had told him to tell us to "go back to your fanfiction and RP crap, you hacks."
Which, ok. Fair. They RP. I write fanfiction.
The problem is, I don't know where this dream came from. None of us wants to join some writers' workshop, and if we did, we'd never be all nervous OR upset that some dude told us we couldn't.
I can make guesses, though. Some of you were babbling on about Jim Butcher yesterday (which, if your intention is to make me never ever ever pick up one of his books, you are doing a fabulous job making a go of that--to be fair, it's not your fault that I'm pretty sure he was that annoyingly whiny dude who wrote teal deer meta about how Anita having sex Betrayed Her Principles back in my LKH list days of '99. And if I hadn't gone through several yahoo mail purges since then, I might still have the emails to prove it), and the rumors about how he got his start.

palmetto has been all world-building fiend at me the last week or so. It had to get bounced back through my dreams at some point.
In other news, I am officially sick and tired of: soup, pasta, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, and ramen.

fandomsecrets yesterday (spoilery for the episode before last, at least). There was a pointless "Anders is boring" one a few days ago, which made me laugh. Dude, you are two years too late to catch the wave of popularity on that one.
I would like to thank the rabid Kara/Lee shippers for being so loud about their latest pet theory in regards to Sam: it's produced some really hot porn.

*snicker* Can't speak for anyone else, but my intention was just to jabber with other commenters. I figured your decision is already made, and it makes little nevermind to me one way or another. It's not like there's a shortage of books to read. Never have quite understood the "No! You MUST read this person! Even if you didn't like them, you WILL! I swear!" impulse.
As for the dream, I wonder how much of it is the general OMG Dramatic Culture Clash between literary SF fandom and media fandom that's been getting all kinds of tangential meta as a side effect of the RaceFail 'splosion. Not that I don't think it's almost entirely bogus, personally, but it has been rather annoyingly everywhere. Mayhaps it infected your subconscious.
