I've never liked mornings.
1. BSG friending meme over here
2. I'm stealing
cujoy's idea and babbling about my tv shows. Since I've been silent about most of them, generally (except BSG. I'm very aware of being loud and obnoxious about it).
Leverage. Words cannot describe how much I love this show. It's cracky and geeky and their are women in it and they talk. Not a whole lot, but then, no one spends time talking to each other in this outside of jobs and such. Parker is my favorite, with Alec Hardison and Sophie tying for second followed by Nate and Eliot. Christian Kane's hair grew on me, and I'm disturbed to say I find it attractive now.
Bones. I think we're mostly caught up on this (other than whatever showed last night?), and while I'm still enjoying it, it's definitely gone down a bit in quality. I'm not sure if the writers are a bit uncertain where to go with things or if they're worried about being stale, so trying new 'shock' techniques out. ALTHOUGH I LOVE AGENT PEROTTA. She's smart, snarky and blonde (and I so have a type). I'm hoping she'll stick around a bit more.
NCIS. Still rules, though, I think it's having the same problem as Bones is. I know cop shows and detective work and crime are pretty routine, but, guys, you don't have to shake it up every week with a New Shocking Reveal. Tuesdays episode was a prime example and I was REALLY GLAD they didn't go where they were pretending to go. Ziva and Abby, though, are still awesome.
Forensic Files. Though, depressingly, we've seen almost every episode. We spend more time deleting episodes we've seen off the dvr than actually watching it. Sigh. But it's awesome, and the forensic fire-arms examiner they have in their commercials is also awesome.
Dollhouse. Actually, my intention is to watch with the sound down all the way, to see if Tahmoh takes his shirt off (not muted, because then I can read CC, and, dude, the last time I did that, I suffered through Cain's Razor speech... Or was it Romo talking to Lee?). The premise is ripped straight from Ghost in the Shell, and Eliza Dushku can't act (ever seen Tru Calling? I rest my case).
Criminal Intent. You know the most depressing thing about catching marathons of older episodes? They were so much better than the current crap (not that it's back yet, but.).
In Plain Sight. Oh, Mary Shannon. Sigh. Pity I never actually caught the last half of the first season, due to moving? But you are coming back, so, yay. Maybe they'll get smart and pair you up with Leverage?
Torchwood. I'm scared to finish series two. I mean. I'm spoiled for bits of it. But.
Doctor Who. Um. Haven't managed to watch the back halves of either series three or four? Except Blink.
3. Yeah, it's a short list. I'm really picky about my tv. For the record, Sanctuary and Sarah Connor Chronicles suffered the same problem: both pilot episodes were more about the whiny white men than about the women. I don't care if that's changed. Neither pulled me in enough (also, Sanctuary had a criminal under-use of Kandyse McClure, and if she'd been the one pulled in, I might've actually stuck around) to bother with more. Most other shows have an appalling lack of women, treat them like disposable condoms (hi, Supernatural and Stargate: Atlantis), or don't interest me.
4. I am home from work because I have dental surgery today.

And don't forget that she's an avid sport hunter and likes killing deer with a crossbow! (I keep remembering that clip on Jimmy Kimmel where the audience booed her after she talked about how much she enjoys killing animals.)
Sorry, I've lost all respect for Dushku. But I'll watch Dollhouse to see if it's any good, and so very much AGREED about it being reminiscent of GiTS except without any of the coolness.
I hope your dental surgery goes well, hon. Nothing serious, I hope? *snugs*

It's the, root amputation, though it might just be them pulling the tooth. I don't know yet. And I hope it'll be boring and not at all serious. (and that they don't tip me back onto my head in that stupid chair)

Since I generally have a low opinion of people who get off on the thrill of the hunt and killing animals for sport, whatever shred of respect I had for her plummeted down to absolute zero.

I think Batou speaks for me re: GitS > Everything.

For real, I'm in this for the con jobs and everyone being awesome and silly! I am not here for gravity and mourning and stuff!

Still, the most awesome thing about that episode was Parker on anti-depressants. And her doing the squeeful bounce glomptackle on Elliot and Hardison at the end and bonding with people and talking out her problems! For real, I <3 Parker so hard.

Oh hell yes! Parker and Hardison are the characters I love like pie, but everyone on the show is awesomeness in their own way.

Me too. I thought I liked it shorter in the pilot, but I'm starting to dig it long wild. It's like a lion's mane. And while typing that the image that popped into my head was Mufasa from the Lion King. Now I feel weird.

oh, shit, now I sort of want Leverage crack!fic with Sophie as Dorothy... Nate is Toto.no subject
Dude, Every time I see a "Joss Whedon is God" shirt, I want to punch someone.

4. :(

Er. Not that I watch it.

So am I. I have it sitting there waiting for me, but I can't seem to get through the rest of the episodes.

If that makes any sense (possibly not).

But thank you for the offer!
(because, aside from my crankiness about John, I did LIKE Sarah)

Sarah Connor I'm saving for when the DVD's go on sale. That worked for me in season 1.
Sanctuary was on my DVR for the whole season. I never got so annoyed that I pulled it off. But I did not save the episodes, and did not burn them to CD either. But a caveat - the only thing that kept me to the end was the appearances of several Highlander actors who I wanted to see.
Leverage makes me happy, and yet not too much thinking about it. And that's a good thing.

Fingers crossed for Dollhouse managing to be good?

IMDB lists a second season and links to an article that mentions it got a second season. So, yay!
I <3 Mary, so.

Mary is cool, yes, and I really like most of the character dynamics of the show. (The family stuff can be good, can be...oh-god-not-another-screwed-up-family thing.) But yes, yay!

I read your post before I watched the episode tonight and I still thought they were Going There. Holy heavy handed. But it was so much better that they didn't.
And while I love me some Gibbs (and Ducky!), Abby and Ziva are pretty much the best thing about every episode.
no subject
Abby and Ziva make me gleeful, Ducky is love. And I do love the rest of the team.
(I really need to make myself some Abby and Ziva icons)
