The love thread is an excellent idea, even if I do feel like some of these women are justifiably hated. Mainly because I have a pathological hatred of some of them, which I like to pretend is quite reasonable and justified.

Huh. I find myself torn between "wait, there are people who hate her? But she's wonderful!" and "No, actually, she is awful. If I was writing her I'd have done something very different."

Interestingly, I've realised that the characters I hate are all due to a borked bit of writng somewhere along the way. Every single one, I've loved the actor in something else and seen where the character could have been tweaked.

I wouldn't say all men ever in the whole world, but it's fun settling down in front of the telly, starting a timer in your head and seeing how long it takes for Bechdel's (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BechdelsRule) Rule to kick in.
