sff: ... did I mention it was cold?
BSG: Uh. Things went boom. Yes.
I find myself with little to say. We'll see how that goes.
1. HELLO KARA. NICE TO HAVE YOU BACK, BABY.
2. NOW GO RESCUE YOUR PIECE OF ASS, PLEASE. And kiss him a lot. Because, seriously? Taste of Adama in your mouth? Bleh. (I suppose we should all be glad Figurksy wasn't with her when she suddenly rediscovered adrenaline and the will to live)
3. Racetrack. Skulls. Seelix. :( :( :( :( :( You guys. You are officially pod people (I can maybe, MAYBE, get Seelix. If I try REAL FUCKING HARD)
4. AGATHONS. Oh, you two are cute. Three, rather. But, cute. AND SO STUPID. IF THERE IS SHOOTING, YOU LOCK THE DOOR.
5. Gage, I hope Athena kneecaps you and cuts your balls off before she puts a bullet in your brain.
6. HEY SPARKY. You know how you're not that bright? 'Cause, rly? Three marines to two old men? Fail, Sparky, FAIL. Marines: 0; Crusty Old Men: 3-billionty.
7. Huh. Mom and Dad kissing = actually hot. (Kara's brain says she would like her husband to do that with, but, y'know, she has to save his ass first)
8. Lee. You got played like a fiddle, baby. It's a good thing Kara Thrace was there to save your ass. (please tell me I'm not the only one who cracked up when the marine's brains blew out over Lee's face?)
9. Ron actually killed some men this time. GOOD JOB, Ron. And he killed Laird, too, and then had the marine make that ridiculous remark about Laird always being whiny. Gee, dude, you think maybe he's a little whiny and depressed BECAUSE CAIN HAD HIS FAMILY KILLED IN FRONT OF HIM?
10. I realized the real reason Ron killed Dee, btw. It's not any more happy-making than the other, but: Dee would have smacked Sparky down and scuttled his plans. Dee believes in Laura Roslin (if not Earth). Sparky trying to destroy Mom's regime? SO NOT ON. That there plan would have been trashed and Sparky, Gage and Connor in the brig right-quick.
11. Racetrack. :/
12. Caprica and Athena had lines. Win. Also. Sam and Athena spoke. Win. And Athena advised him to lie like a son of a bitch when it comes down to "what secrets do you know?" (which, for Sam, the silly boy, is nothing)
13. MOM ROCKED SO HARDCORE, YOU GUYS. I have no words for it. I just don't. Also. In a crisis? The boys fold. The women stand strong. Are we sure this is the same show as two weeks ago? I AM SO CONFUSED.
14. Gaius actually got some good lines, and I love that he and Roslin talked. Sigh. Damn. Can we have more conversations like theirs to replace the annoying shit from the last two weeks?
15. My girl. She's good in a crisis, and her brain works good. Now, if we get more of her, pls.
16. Seelix. See. Here's the thing. I'm trying hard to rationalize her conversation with Sam as 'complete distraction' material. But. But, she seemed to have so much anger and sincerity when she made it all about how he was never going to love her... :/ Seelix is better than that, dammit! Also, anyone who'd PAID ATTENTION to Sam would have known that Kara owned his penis and heart and soul. Sheesh. Even dead.
17. I'm sure I'll have more to say later.
Death watch (includes tally from last two weeks):
Female: 1 (Dee)
Male: 5 (Laird, Jaffee?, two marines, the marine holding Lee)
Unknown: 3 (1 Cylon, 2 marines, I'd bet on the Cylon being an Eight), a shitload given all the bodies.
AWOL: D'Anna

3. From the expression on Racetracks face when they grabbed Lee I almost wonder if she don't everything that was going. I can get her helping Zarek get off the ship if she see's him as a political prisoner but I don't think she knew everything that was going on. Although Racetrack has always been a someone who followed the crowd perhaps this is just more of that, she see the tide turning and is going with it, plus she hates toaster's and I don't remember her ever espousing that much love for Adama.
4. Yeah the cuteness is totally making think their not all gonna see Daybreak.
8. Yeah totally did the expression on his face was priceless. I also wonder if that was something of a callback to Valley of Darkness where he also went running around the ship with blood on his face. Is it just me or is that the only contribution Lee made to the episode besides his usual whining? Although I do hate him so maybe I'm biased :)
10. See this is why I defend RDM so damn much even when he seems to do something dumb he usually manages to fix it. Of course it helps that I have watched most of his previous series so he has good credit with me. The Barge of the Dead episode he wrote for Voyager actually sucked me back into the show right when I was seriously getting bored with it.
12. I hope we see more of the people in the brig next ep cuz seriously we need more Sam onscreen plus that whole combination just has buckets of potential.
14. Yeah Gaius was actually awesome again in this episode after half a season of his God crap. I kinda agree with Roslin that I never really bought his conversion I think he has certainly grown but he's still to self serving to had any kind of real awakening.
15. I wasn't cool with her being so close to hypocrocy when it comes to the cylons though especially when its so transparent that if her husband hadn't turned out to be one she wouldn't be so quick to throw them out.
16. Was a awlways a screwed up bitch though I've disliked her since she kicked the gun away from Cavil. It wasn't that she cruel it was that she was deliberately cruel I think she truly is a sadist and always has been personally. Although I never thought she'd make Sam look smart for choosing Tory over her though.

10. Please stop defending him. It was still unforgivable, and I loathed Voyager. (also, I have some Roswell fangirls on my flist who might laugh)
12. Yeah. I'm not holding my breath for the writer's to realize that.
15. ?? I'm not sure what you mean, here. Kara was awesome, and she's not focused on anything but getting the ship back (or failing that, saving the old man's ass. Not that it needed saving)
16. I love Seelix. Have since she was stranded on Kobol. Her kicking the gun away from Cavil and participating in the Circle has always made me gleeful (aside from anything else, because, yay, women on my tv not just standing around being passive girls). And, fuck, I'd kick the gun away from Cavil, so, y'know, he couldn't shoot me or my friends, too.

10. Hey I have a right to my opinion just as much as you have a right to loathe Voyager, if people don't want someone to disagree with them they shouldn't post it publicly. Plus I am a Roswell fangirl myself I haven't had much to do with the fandom in years but I loved the show.
12. I think Sam is going to have a big role in the coming episodes though, I think that may be part of why there is so much former Resistance people in the fight.
15. I just don't like that shes suddenly totally against the cylons when she was the one proposing the alliance in the first place, its to much like something Lee would do.
16. It wasn't so much that she did it, its how much she enjoyed Cavil's suffering. Plus she did the same thing when she was on The Circle she seemed to be getting off on airlocking people which made my stomach turn. Its one thing to do stuff like that enjoying it suggests a screw loose in my book, especially when you compare Seelix's reactions to Barolay's. Plus it really doesn't help that we don't have that much backstory on why Seelix is so extreme. Kobol only explains so since half their suffering was caused by the idiot in charge

I laughed so hard when Kara shot the marine. "COME GET SOME OF THIS, BITCHEZ." There is the Kara I love! SHE IS BACK! YAY!
And, and. YAY LAURA. Apparently getting Dad all riled up means it gets Mom all riled up too. And I *loved* that she called him on his passive-aggressive tendencies.

I giggled furiously and pointed at the screen like a gleeful child. ^_^
Now that Kara has backup that is more than just Lee she needs to get to the brig RIGHT FRAKKING NOW.
no subject
If she does not, I will be confused and suspicious, and flaily. And possibly cranky. A lot.
no subject
I'm strangely ok with this. ;}
For sure CRANKY. And confused. And PISSED OFF. It is the next logical step. Also, SAMMY NEEDS TO BE SAVED. And Helo. And Athena. *flailyhands* OMG just get them out so they can save the day with you!!!

Brig is the next logical step, I think. Depending on if they want to free the 'hostages' or not. Or maybe the engine room. CIC is built to be defensible, that's probably out until they get more manpower. Hence, free the brig.

Even without my fangirl heart screaming for the boys, it is logical to go there. They need more people, and Sam is the most experienced at fighting a guerrilla style war. They almost have to have him to win this.

Maybe he will find some new Cylon strength to make it past the broken bones? (I know, I'm reaching. But maybe?)

And yes, go save Sam. That would be nice payback for New Caprica.
But I think she doesn't know all her favourite people are in the brig, so she won't prioritize this.
Seelix joining mutiny out of jealousy is bad. But I really hope Racetrack didn't do it because of Helo. Women should be given better motives for joining the revolution then being scorned.
Agathons are love, always. I'm however very worried about Helo. I'm afraid if it comes down to shooting hostages he is the least valuable. Luckily for Sam, he is probably most valuable. But of those in brig I don't think I'm not able to part with any.
I was happy seeing Athena taking charge and explaining to Sam how to survive as a hostage. After all she has experience.
I was so sad about Laird - he survived both cylons and Cain. Hope the next one to even the female/male death ratio is Gage.
Roslin couldn't stay indifferent any more. She missed this. She loves this. She is not going to give this up to someone like Zarek.
Zarek could've taken over slowly and she wouldn't lift a finger. But he wanted too much too fast and all he got is Mum after his ass. He is going to regret this so much.
Zarek's escape was so very much like Roslin's back on season 2 Felix must have been inspired by Dee but Dee showed better judgment on who to help. Actually I think Dee always showed better judgment when taking sides. You don't learn from mistakes Felix. He thought he had perfect plan but it got out of hand fast and then he had to relay on force. And kill more and more friends. And for what? Civil war?
One more thing I noticed writing down my reaction. There was so many callbacks to season 1/2.0 that filled my heart with glee. Kara and Lee the buddycops. Athena taking charge and doing planning. Tigh protecting Adama from being shot. Mutiny and division of the fleet. Just like good times.
And I loved the irony of Roslin and Baltar going together to seek refuge on a baseship because cylons are the only ones they can trust.
P.S.I know I plagiarized myself a lot here but I consider laziness a virtue :P

2. Yes! Go find Sam. Although I'll admit to my eternal shame that I was KINDA enjoying the Kara and Lee show, there. I like him better with guns. *nod*
3. Why does everybody suck!?! Wah.
4. Right? I was like OMG HELO FIRST GET THE GUN!
6. More word!
8. I didn't crack up but I was like INEVITABLE, yo. I mean, if anyone was going to save his ass it was a heavily-armed Starbuck.
10. Right?! Dee would have been right up in there fucking things up for great justice.
Anyhow, yeah. ITA with most all of this here.

10). DEE BELIEVED IN EARTH! It's why she killed herself, apparently. ;)
13). Yeah, this is sort of why I fell in love with BSG. The awesomeness of the women. Now, if only they would actually interact with each other while being awesome?
I think I need to see Kara rescuing Sam before I make up my mind about this episode. Because that? Needs to happen.
