SFF: frak, what do you mean it's actually friday?

BSG: ...

1. The entire Adama and Tigh scene was painfully awful. And not in the ouch, that hurts in a good way way. No, in the bad dialog, pointless placement and stupid stupid stupid way. SUCH a waste of screentime.

2. D'Anna has finally had her faith broken. Oh, D. :/

3. The Agathons are possibly the most adorable thing EVER.

4. Second only to Dee and Lee being cute and adorable and awesome. Man. If only...

5. If only, y'know, Ron wasn't intent on killing the women in the show off.

6. Kara and Leoben find her body and she burns it (hey, Kara, dead bodies aren't pretty, duh). Also, baby, when Leoben is scared as fuck, maybe you should take a hint. Kudos to CKR for the performance.

7. Sam, Tyrol and Tory were all frak-buddies, once upon a time. And Sam was a musician. *snicker*

8. [livejournal.com profile] lizardbeth_j was right! The 13th tribe were Cylons.

9. No Kara and Sam or Kara and Helo interaction, but Kara did get cock-blocked when trying to talk to Lee about how she wasn't human no more. *snicker*

10. CYLONPILOTS DIGGING IN THE DIRT.

11. Roslin. Man. So pathetic. I guess they're really going about that whole destruction of their female characters still.

12. Which reminds me: Leoben and Kara (again). You know how in season three, there was lots of stuff with her and Sam and her destiny, and there was spec that it should have been her and Leoben? Yeah. Now it just feels wrong that it's not Sam watching her back. :/

13. HI ELLEN.

14. Oh, Dee. Dee, who was so brilliant and loving and wonderful and so young. Who lost Billy and gained Lee and then lost Lee before she ever really had him. Who kept the fleet running all those months Kara was trying to find Earth (and even before). Who was a constant friend to Felix. Who broke on Earth, when her last piece of faith was shattered.

I knew, you know, going in. I knew something was going to happen. And I was terrified of what they'd do.

Now I'm just waiting for them to drag her name through the mud like they did Cally's.

Anyone who is actually glad she's dead needs to get the motherfucking hell of my flist. NOW.

15. Deathwatch:
Female: 1.
Male: 0.

HEY RON. KILL SOME FUCKING MEN ALREADY. ASSHOLE.

Dee! Dee! Dee.

I knew they were going to kill her off when they gave her the "Previously, on Battlestar Galactica" line. Bastards.

*sighs*

As Billy and Dee have an Awkward Moment on the Death Couch, Jean just smacks them both and hands them shit to throw at Lee.

Obvsly, I need to get writing.

What really irritated the snot out of me was the "OMG, let's all kill ourselves" among the upper echelon. Ok, Dee was tragic, the rest was really overkill. I particularly liked Tigh talking Bill out of it, and then wading out into the water. Give me a break. Maybe there's mass psychosis radioactive dust on the planet, but I'm betting it's just bad writing:P

My husband and I ran the tivo back and looked. Is that Kara in the Chief's flashback? We can't tell.

If Kara is indeed a Cylon, and the planet is destroyed, exactly who resurrected her and built the raptor? I sure hope they explain this, I really do.

COMMAND IS SO HARRRRRRd.

*eyeroll* I mean. I'm glad Lee was able to step up, but, sheesh.

I don't know if it's Kara.

Ron might explain! I never thought he'd give us the fifth cylon, you know.

I cant help but wonder if there is more to Dee's Death then a simple She decided to 86 herself~

I did like the Adama/Tigh scene I think Bill really needed someone to talk to since Laura was in the middle in a major frakking meltdown and was so overwhelmed with everything he just wanted out not really wanted to die just out and wanted his friend back at the same time~

Ellen was a shock and then again I have thought that she might be one~ Im just glad it wasn't Baltar~

Leoben Freaking was funny since I imagine it would take a lot to freak him out, it either messed with his beliefs or made him remember~

It doesn't surprised me that Kara is so not going to tell at least at first~

I thought a totally Deflated D'Anna was great it is about time that she got of her high horse~

The thing about earth doesn't surprise me at all it was one of the hypothesis that have been running through my house, but then again just about every conceivable hypothesis have been running through my house about what was going to happen -lol

Overall I thought it was a great episode I wasn't disappointed so many times they hype up somethings so much that the outcome paled in comparison I didn't feel that way~ at least not yet~

IT SHOWS THE DEEP AND ABIDING PAIN. And also gives Adama impetus to try to kill himself and say horrible things about Ellen (TWO WOMEN WITH ONE REFRIGERATOR, GOOD JOB, RON)

I'm in the middle. There were bits I liked (CKR's reaction, even if I wanted Sam there instead), and, um... Dee and Lee being adorable and the Agathons. AND D'ANNA. Because I have a hard time hating on D. Even when she's batshit.

EVER. But that's why Billy shows Dee the perfect technique for lobbing cans at Starbuck.

"I had no idea..." there's a faint thread of amusement in her voice. The can in her hand is hefted and then thrown a softball lob that lands it smack in the back of Starbuck's head.

She jumps, dropping the tags in her hands.

"Don't do it too often. Makes 'em annoyed," Billy advises, though this is counter to all the cans and bottles he's lofted at Leland Adama. But he figures Leland can handle it. Starbuck's already half off her rocker.

"Show me Anders. And then I think it's time to pay Baltar a visit," suggests Dee, her voice firm. The laughter is still there, but there's also a little anger.

Billy grabs the remote and does as requested. After all, who is he to argue with a beautiful woman? He ducks, expecting a slap from either side. And when none comes, he grins a little. Maybe the afterlife ain't all that bad.

A hand smacks the back of his head, "Don't even consider it," suggests Barolay, as though she hadn't had her tongue down his throat three hours before.

"Yes'm."

I think expecting more from Dee's death is giving Ron too much credit, sadly. It's mostly there as an impetus for Adama (and also so Lee is now free and clear to pursue Kara, of course).

Leoben freaking out remains a high point. ;]

ANNA.

The Agathons are possibly the most adorable thing EVER.
Yes! *melts* Athena shot who in the what now? I don't care. PLAYING RAPTOR-CRASH WITH HERA. SO CUTE.

Honestly I thought Lee/Dualla was very awkward at first, but then the scene of them after their date was so sweet.

Okay, I'm annoyed -- I've been annoyed since I found out. I tend to give RDM slack with the woman-killing, but this is the THIRD TIME with the suicide when they don't know what to do with a female -- only with Cally and Gina it felt right to me, and this just felt forced.

When you compare Dualla's role from here to now with what they've done with Anders and Gaeta, it's really clear how little they ever invested in her character. :/ That saddens me. The shock effect did work and I'll get over it (I'm already like ELLEN ELLEN YAAAAY) but I figured this was a good place to rant about the bullshit factor. Can't imagine why. :)

P.S. Is that the end of D'Anna? Loved that moment but I wish it wasn't so ambiguous.

Everyone is broken in a way, during this episode, and D is right up there. Thing is, she's been broken before. She saw the other side of death, and she knew who the FF were, and she thought she'd come to terms with it--

And here's Earth, showing that it's all going to happen again and again and a gain. She feels futile, I think.

But, dammit. They need her! (either that, or Daybreakverse is bleeding through my brain)

I really really believe that, sometime during season two, someone high up in Skiffy went, "The women are too prominent on your show, stop it." Because otherwise, NOTHING MAKES SENSE of how so many of them went from competent and interesting to shells and two-dimensional cardboard pieces to be moved around on a chessboard. (the latter is a bit of an exaggeration, but my point stands)

And as much as I love that Sam and Sparky are getting more lines and things to do, not at the expense of the women, dammit.

If that is the end of D'Anna, I will rant again. It--it will sort of make sense, but she will totally be a number on the deathwatch.

Lee and Dee WERE awkward, and I was a bit facepalmy, and then there was the post-date, and I was suddenly, "...O.o WAIT." (and also thinking CUTE, but that's beside the point. Baltar, for instance, in his two seconds of "Hey, remember I used to be a scientist?" was also cute).

Third time for suicide for a major female character, yes. One of the bombers on NewCap was also a woman, though there was also Duck and one other male iirc.

And this one was so senseless. Argh. *makes with the flaily motions*

Yup. But she was originally going to kill herself and her baby whom she adored so much (because he was half-cylon!)... Which, y'know, makes a little more sense when you factor in that she was on two anti-depressants... Or something.
