It saddens me how often bad, tasteless porn is sold as edgy, progressive and groundbreaking (yes, Laurell K. Hamilton, I'm looking at you). This is so ridiculous it'd be funny if it wasn't so disgusting.
I'm however not surprised by 53 issues - think about the sales of John Ringo's Paladin of Shadow's series (OH JOHN RINGO NO (http://hradzka.livejournal.com/194753.html)), LKH and all the rape fic you've ever read - someone makes all that popular.
I also, unfortunately, think "You have to get out of here. Your vagina is haunted." is going to go the "All your base are belong to us" way and be quoted out of context forever.
