I can has not-work time.

1. Pre-slash. Pfft. In the words of Yoda, "Slash or slash not, there IS NO PRE."

2. I am bereft of kitty-ears. I forgot my hat was in my drawer at work. :/

3. Boss says to me Monday, "It's end of the month, if you need to stay extra, go ahead." AHAHAHAHAH. Need is such a funny word when there's a mountain of paperwork and invoices to get processed.

4. Someone on the radio dubbed the new Killers album a Pet Shop Boys pastiche, influenced by the synth-pop of the 80's. *giggles madly* It's more mid-2000 PSB, but, yes.

I know. And while I may have had this conversation before, it's so... ridiculous.

1. Would that be inspired by fans of Nate and crew?

Yah. Though it's just the latest in a long line of tags claiming "pre-slash".

I figured. I don't understand their love of Nate/Eliot. I really don't. Oh well.

Pit of Voles has exactly two Leverage fics. One is Nate/OFC-MS brought in to cut out Sophie. The other is Nate/Eliot. No one else gets any love.

P.S. You are the number five hit on Google (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=leverage+fic&btnG=Search) for "leverage fic".

Yeah. I... kinda just go O.o

AHAHAH. I should, um, make mine postable, then.

Eeeeeeeee! (my ego totally needed that. ;)

I don't give a damn if it's slash or het, but, ummm, I don't see it, or Eliot/Alec. I don't have their special goggles.

Totally! In fact, please do. We need something good on there.

You're welcome.

1. I'm sorry, "Yoda" and "slash" in the same sentence is just WRONG!

5. I want to like "Human", but damn the main lyric irritates my inner grammarian. I had almost convinced myself that he was just swallowing the S on the end of 'dancer', until some helpful DJ told me that no, that is the actual lyric. Now it just makes me want to throw things.

1. Yoda/Palpatine. Yoda tops.

5. AHAHAH. Yes. I pretend it is an 's', too. Also, I sort of pretend he's using it like, oh, say, Human vs Cylon. (which begs the question, could it be filked as "are we human or are we cylon?/something something/the lines have blurred...")

[identity profile] lizardbeth-j.livejournal.com 2008-12-18 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
1. ah. no wonder Yoda couldn't figure out that Palpative was UP TO NO GOOD while he was going down on Yoda. explains a lot actually.

5. I thought it could work as a Dylon Four vid.

Then you clearly wouldn't care to hear my theory of "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to--" "SLASH!" ;-)

[identity profile] lizardbeth-j.livejournal.com 2008-12-18 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
And fandom destroys another precious childhood memory! :P

[identity profile] brookiki.livejournal.com 2008-12-18 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
That's what fandom lives for. :-)

I actually think that came into my head before I even liked slash, in response to how so many people seem to go "Look, A and B hate each other. And they hate each other for a really good reason. They clearly want to do it."

[identity profile] brookiki.livejournal.com 2008-12-18 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
I'd never thought about it, but "pre-slash" is a pretty ridiculous concept. I've always seen it used in a fic where two characters have a moment of friendship, but the author wants to make damn sure that everyone gets that they're clearly meant for greater things. I suppose it's just another stupid thing you learn to overlook in fandom.

[identity profile] qwirky.livejournal.com 2008-12-19 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
1. Yesh. I never understood it, still don't get it. "Pre-slash" == Slash UST. If there are slashy hints, it's slash. If there is no slash, it's not slash. *flails at people*

*gives you kitty ears!*
