And, in completely non-related news, I was randomly thinking about it this morning, and I still want to know: what made Lobdell think U2's 'One' was the perfect wedding song for Scott and Jean? Hell, what makes anyone think that's a good song for that purpose? Do none of them listen to the lyrics?

I know! Hubby and I (both comics fans) had this discussion way back. Then we went to a wedding of one of D's relatives and guess what the first dance song was? We couldn't stop snickering to each other the entire time. Because, yeah, "then you make me crawl" sounds VERY romantic and definitely I want at my wedding...

But sadly I've never had the opportunity (or remembered, when I did have the opportunity) to ask him.

I read something about this, but I can't remember where - Lobdell knew exactly what the song was about, and put it in deliberately because he was pissed off about editorial interference.
