Wee!tiny Logopolitans are sort of adorable. Even if they are dead. Also, it's easy to see how hard it is to juggle three companions.

eta: also, Logopolis is possibly one of the creepily awesomest concepts they came up with. What a pity it was so easy to destroy.

Well, it did take Time Lord science to destroy it.

I read once that when Christopher Bidmead wrote Logopolis/Castrovalva it was without any intention that Tegan should become a companion. The inference therefore is that JNT liked her so much he decided to keep her, without writing Adric or Nyssa out.
