Oh, man.

I caught exactly 20 seconds of the US Eleventh Hour. Oh bad. Oh so bad. Forensic Files and North Mission Road = way more fun, despite the fact we'd seen all but, like, three of them. Sigh.

Apparently US Life on Mars was on tonight, too?

Bleh. I feel like making a "ur doin' it wrong" inspirational poster.

Also, for the SUVs parked at Whole Foods. HEY. CONSERVATION. UR DOIN' IT WR0NG.

Or stickers.

(also, Rachel is not skinny, nor does she leave her gun where it's out of reach she leaves that cock-up to Susan Taylor, dammit, I am not writing that fic)

Actually. Susan Taylor, Rachel Young and Barbara Havers walk into a bar... God, that would be comedy gold. Especially because Angie Ogden, Jo McDonagh and Olivia Benson would already be on their first round (Alex Eames, Megan Wheeler, Carolyn Barek and Nola Falacci are running late, because they kidnapped Dr. Elizabeth Rodgers)

*gets distracted*

Brit to US shows you need images for. 11th Hour, Life on Mars, Red Dwarf, Men Behaving Badly...

Put them all together as a collage, and slap the words on.

Thankfully Spaced didn't make it past the starting line.

I know RD didn't get far either, but their are images. And they are scary. ;)

Coupling. Blackpool (remade as Viva Laughlin iirc) I'm sure there are others, sadly.

And I've got the American RD pilot around on tape, somewhere. Dear god is it bad.

My pet theory re: LOM remake, after seeing just the last couple of minutes of the premiere: They're really doing it because they get to show the World Trade Center.

Nah, they did it because it's miles cheaper to rip off successful Brit telly that doesn't translate well to American audiences than to actually create something new that might flop in one episode.

I enjoyed Eleventh Hour! A little wooden, but the pilot can always be a little off. I'll give it a shot. Although, I did enjoy Life on Mars too, and kept switching.

You're like those people who watched the USA Touching Evil and had never seen the UK version. It's cute, but kinda sad.

Well, I am easy to please when it comes to TV and movies. Although, I don't necessarily think the UK is always better.

We watched Eleventh Hour and that's one hour of my life I'll never get back.
