I knew I'd forgotten something.

dear cbs, Eleventh Hour is not some seat of your pants, explosion-filled drama. fuckers. I hope it tanks.

The ads for 11th Hour have repelled me on a quite remarkable level.

hahahahah. It doesn't help that they've cast Rachel Young with a skinny girl. Original Rachel was normal-looking. she might also shoot you if you annoyed her

As a fan of the much belated Jericho I second this.(Fingers crossed that someone else see the light and saves the show)

I've no idea what Jericho has to do with Eleventh Hour, the BBC drama produced in 2006 with Patrick Stewart, but good luck?

But it has Rufus Sewell and I ♥ him! :(

Dude, he's about thirty years too young to be Hood.

You don't understand. He's Rufus "Too pretty to be given nice things" Sewell. Can't he have just one nice thing? Just one little gritty and morally ambiguous thing? :(

Having seen the original, there is NO WAY the American version will be gritty, interesting, or morally ambiguous. Which is sad, as Rufus can pull that sort of thing off.

Wait, wasn't that the one that had Patrick Stewart in it?

Yup. It had some marvelous dark and light grey morality, coupled with a very hard science edge and political mockery.... most of which will have to be stripped as Americans are stupid and won't get most of it.

I was wondering what this show was about, they sell it like a CSI/Criminal Minds/NCIS/X-Files thing with explosions. I never saw the Patrick Stewart original series.

The original series is... slow-moving and explosion-less iirc, not to mention not exactly suited to the Pro-Life Black and White Morality of most American audiences.

Sounds like a series i'd love :)
