Oh, the burning: bad Kara/Sam fic...
Triggery things, here, folks. So, cutting it. R for language, violence and sexual situations.
The following was posted on the Skiffy board in, of all places, the Trucco thread... Damn. Now I know why he don't come back.
Fic premise: Kara and Lee have another Conversation wherein Kara waffles and realizes that, since Lee has now left Dee, she doesn't really want Lee. She only wants him when she can't have him, etc. Kara tells him this, in pretty blunt language (though it's a bit soapy), and also manages to get in a dig at Dee. Since Dee will 'just take him back again'.
Silent implication there is that, of course, Dee is a doormat. Thanks, Author, it's not like 90% of fandom wasn't already saying it.

Lee snaps, decides he's had enough and proceeds to rape Kara. Or try to, he rips her shirt, pins her to the floor, yanks her pants and undies out of the way and is just about to violate her (with Kara squeezing her eyes closed and praying that it'll be over quick), when suddenly, Large Hands yank Lee off of Kara, and Sam Anders tells Lee to keep his hands offa his Wifey.
1. This is the biggie, really. If wee!tiny!90 pounds soaking wet Cally Henderson can keep herself from getting raped by biting a man's ear off, so can Kara Thrace.
2. Leland Adama isn't going to rape a woman. He's an ass, emotionally messed up and not all-together bright. But a rapist? Not so much.
3. Shirts do not rip that easily. Unless Kara's been bleaching hers and has washed it five hundred times.
4. Kara Thrace is not going to go quietly, is not going to stay pinned, is not going to just give up and let it happen. She's going to fight and punch and scratch and shove her fingers in painful places of Lee's anatomy and get the fuck away.
5. Let's go back to the earlier conversation, which felt painful and a bit, well, contrived. It was simply there to piss Lee off and make him rape Kara for daring to leave him.
6. Dualla is not a fucking doormat.
7. Sam Anders does not need to save his wife. She can fucking well save her own damn ass, and probably do it without bruising Leland. Too badly.
8. Kara/Anders fic did not need the vengeful Lee is Evil trope, thank you very much. Just because Kara/Lee did it first doesn't mean we have to do it, too.
I'm sure I'll think of more things that annoy me, but that's the gist of it. Bottom line? Kara Thrace fights dirty and Leland Adama stands no chance at pinning her for long enough to rape her. There'd be restraints and knives and guns to her head involved, bitches.
