ahahahah

Hey, BSG fans, if this ever shows up on the show, we will have officially jumped the shark:

In other news, everyone should be glad that Rockne was talked out of 'Space Chase'. I bet David got him drunk and made him sign in blood or something. (eta: 'Space Chase' was the original title of... Farscape)

Further, skimming an article on B5 (JMS, like Ron and Eick makes me throw things), one finds that the network made JMS rewrite second season to attract more of the female audience.

Question. Do they do things like that anymore?

Finally, Lord Bowler is still hot. eta2: I had no idea Julian Carry died of pancreatic cancer two days ago. WTF, AUGUST, YOU ARE SO FIRED.

Dude, SHIP OF LIGHTS! Totally who/what Kara back. Sorry to tell you that. ;)

KEFFER! That's all that's referring to, isn't it? That's all I know about - PTEN wanted somebody hot and young for the women to ogle, and then JMS killed him off. Plus the addition of Boxleitner to just get plain old more audience of whatever gender (though I suppose he was intended to bring at least some of the Scarecrow and MrsKing audience which was predominantly female as well), so. The original "Keffer" was supposed to be Asian, and the note changed that as well, so the studio giveth and the studio taketh away...

ahahah. HUSH

Actually, from the slant of what I was skimming, it's Boxleitner they brought in for the ladies. (I don't know who Keffer is...)

Keffer was lead fighter squadron dude. The guy in the opening credits whose main duty was eventually to get himself killed by the Shadows. The story was pretty famous that WB/PTEN had insisted on adding a hot young fighter jock "for the ladies" which JMS thought was the stupidest thing EVAR but he bowed, cuz renewal was on the line, and then promptly killed him dead halfway through, making sure no one, even the studio, would miss him, at all. Apparently someone thought BB was too old... In the script book, JMS is amusingly scornful of this whole plan.

Oh, him. My first time through, I was annoyed by him because I wanted more of Ivanova flying around, shooting things. The second time, I wasn't annoyed, though I still didn't find him that impressive (Kara would eat him for breakfast).

I totally don't even remember that he died, or how (I liked Zack Allen a wee bit more, even if he ain't pretty).

The only trouble with Zack was that he was only marking time with the fighter squadron till his acting career took off. owait

Your comment on Lord Bowler sent me to my cable box's online listings to see whether Briscoe County is being aired right now. I don't find it. Are you getting it where you are? What channel?

heheheh. And then Conaway mooned everyone at Visions that one year...

Sadly, no. I was sorting through old Starlogs and came across an interview with Carry which renewed some nostalgia. It is out on dvd, though, which I need to get via netflix so I can have copies.
