rl dramuh for the loooooze

Waiting game = suck.

We probably have an apartment (I refuse to confirm or deny until I am living in the damned thing).

However, if you want to see my execrable taste in reading (since I read, rather than do anything else like worry), y'can check out my shelfari.

I need more containers for my tapes. And less comics. It's hard to dump them. Sigh.

I'm on bookcrossing, LibraryThing, also goodreads - but I'm not using that right now. Feel free to look me up. =) I'm going to hold the post person hostage.. I think he's reading the torchwood books you sent..

*guilty* he is not. They got buried when I emptied the bookshelf and haven't been retrieved for sending yet. (doing so tomorrow, though, as they need to not get packed!)

Oh ok.. I won't haul him to the postmaster with bookmarks stuck to him then.. *grins*

Ugh. Packing. It is lame.

Have various limbs crossed for good apartment getting.

They haven't called me back, but apparently are in the office until 4 today. :| I've got to work but the number is 332-6988 if you'd like to try to wrangle an earlier move in date out of them yourself.

Nah. It sounds like they're pretty set.

He called me back and left a message. Earliest he can get us in is that Wednesday after 2pm.

Wow. Pike, Lackey and Torchwood novels. Your shelves are even more eclectic than mine!

heee. And that's just what I've read in the last little while. I don't really have time to list everything on 'em.

*looks at shelves*
That would take FOREVER.

Favorite Christopher Pike book?

I... That is such a hard question!

Possibly a toss-up between Spellbound, Fall Into Darkness and Remember Me. And Witch makes my head hurt (in the good way).

eta: Do you have a favorite?

tee hee hee

Witch is my all-time favorite, followed closely by The Midnight Club and Remember Me.

I used to have copies of all these books and more. Then I went to college and my mother decided to "help me" by getting rid of most of my young adult fiction collection. *rolls eyes*

*crosses things*

I'm with [personal profile] mrsdrjackson; you have wide-ranging tastes. Awesome! :)

*laughs* Thank you. =)

The Midnight Club! I was randomly hit by a wave of Christopher Pike related nostalgia yesterday and am now digging through things to find some of his books. It's been possibly ten years since I read most of them (which makes me feel ooooold), and I'm not very hopeful about finding them.

Awww. That's sad! Yeah, I've got a bunch, still, because they're kinda like candy. The Final Friends set, Spellbound, Fall Into Darkness (will never not be creepy), Remember Me (but not the sequels, they sucked), Witch, Monster, a handful of others.

I'm a packrat. I keep my books.

[identity profile] prozacpark.livejournal.com 2008-08-17 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
I keep my books, but I'm horrible at organizing and actually having any idea of where they are. The only Pike books I could find were "Blind Mirror" and "Falling," both of which are newer and therefore suck. Not that I'm biased towards the older stuff or anything. ;)

I loved "Final Friends" to pieces. I keep waiting for the sequel featuring a reunion that he keeps promising, but he sort of tends to either lie about those or later changes his mind. Like, whatever happened to the "The Last Vampire" and the "Season of Passage" sequels?

Maybe that's a good thing considering that he did ruin both "Chain Letter" and "Remember Me" with inferior sequels.

Bah, I think I want to read Monster again. The ending? Still one of the creepiest things ever.
