Pick'n'Save: constantly staffed by assholes

We went there earlier to buy alcohol and our fixings for dinner. We went to get the booze first, and we get to the check-out, and the dude is all, "id from all of you." As I was buying the alcohol, I rolled my eyes, but dug mine out (I rarely get carded these days, whatever). nique had hers. arrshley, though, forgot the three important things to take when you leave your hotel room at DragonCon go out the door: she had her money, but not id.

So, cashier idiot still takes mine and N's, and is all, "ID." at A, in a rude tone. And one of the other guys is all rude about it. "HAND IT OVER." And A says, "I don't have it" for, like, the fourth time.

"Oh, we can't sell you alcohol, then."

WELL, GEE. WHY THE FUCK DID YOU TAKE OUR CARDS, THEN, YOU JACKASS? What, because we were chicks, you felt the need to be rude? Well, fuck you. You just cost PnS money, because we left without even buying dinner fixings.

Not to mention, if that's your policy, WHY ISN'T IT ON THE DOOR. WHY NOT CARD EVERYONE WHO WALKS IN? Hrm?

Assholes.

I'd write a letter to Roundys, but your company is staffed by assholes and tight-wads who wouldn't fucking care.

This post has made me realise: me hitting the big 3-0 has somehow, inexplicably flipped a switch in the collective public's mind, because I honestly, for the first time since I moved here, cannot remember the last time I've been carded, and I bought a six-pack of beer today. AND YOU KNOW WHAT I LOOK LIKE.

I think they have to take the ID of everyone in a group because otherwise you are giving alcohol to your underage friend. Which, yes, should be posted on the door, and just two of you could have gone in, totally defeating the purpose of the legislation.
