now with less headache... sort of.

1. In Plain Sight, please keep being so damned awesome. And if you could have a crossover that didn't have Wheeler making some stupid remark about the TWO SECONDS of screen-time Mary had, that would be nice. Failing that, crossover with NCIS so Mary can punch Tony and go out for drinks and consolation sex with Ziva. pls.

2. Criminal Intent. I still haven't forgiven the loss of Falacci, but I'd probably be more ok with it if you hadn't spent the first episode with her gone basically making her out to be a territorial bitch who would do pointless things like leaving nail polish (did she ever even wear nail polish? no) and a coffee mug. Because that was so totally in character for her. Yup.

3. We still haven't watched the following season finales: Bones, Doctor Who, Torchwood. I've been somewhat spoiled for all three.

4. Sword of Orion, the Big Finish audio, is awesome. Right at the moment, I'd say it's ten times more entertaining than ANY of newskool save Blink.

5. Captain Britain and MI13 is fucking awesome.

6. I don't remember the exact wording anymore, but there was a thread on the BSG skiffy board wherein someone was going on about Ron Moore, Chris Nolan (Batman), and Joss Whedon 'bringing realistic everyday people thrust into being heroes and gritty realism, etc, etc' to the tv/movie industry. I still kinda want to find it to reply "Fritz Lang called, he says to stfu and stfd." Because, seriously? SERIOUSLY? Someone hasn't been reading/watching SF for very long.

Big Finish *is* better than new skool, well, most of BF is better than new skool.

ETA: I didn't care for the first season of Lucie audios as much as previous ones I'd heard because it cannibalized from the new series as much as the new series cannibalized from the older audios.

Well, given just the one I've heard, they're miles better. I need to actually sit down and write a post about why I liked it (and why I dislike newskool), but every time I sit down to do so, something comes up (like a migraine. sigh)

The cannibalization is a bad thing, though. :/

Yay, I'm really liking In Plain Sight. I love Mary. I also adore Marshall, and the banter between the two of them (and the hot detective that shows up every so often to tell Mary she's hot because... um, yeah, she is). I'm not a huge fan of the annoying mom, whiny sister and needy boyfriend, though. I feel like they drag the show down, but maybe they'll get better. I think less is WAY more with them.

Mary is awesome personified. And I'm probably wierd in that I like her mother and sister, too (they're screwy and stupid, but I like 'em). It might be because Lesley Ann Warren is still hot. *blush*

6. One of the many reasons the Skiffy board is annoying is that the most vocal people there either fall into the " new!BSG is evil and Ron Moore hates America!" camp or the "this show is perfect and Moore hung the moon" camp and they're both SO annoying.

I had to look Fritz Lang up on Wikipedia and now I'm v. impressed.

I know Fritz because I had a prof who adored him.

I fall into the, um... "America is stupid!" camp. Which has nothing to do with Ron at all. ;]

Captain Britain and MI13 is the best thing in my fannish world right now. I've only got the first two issues but it's so damn awesome, and stomps all over the other Annoying Skrull Invasion Crap tie-ins.

THIS. YES. And I love that it totally DOES NOT CARE that it's supposed to be SRS BSNS about it all.

5). In my bitterness over the deadness of the Pryde/Wisdom possibilities, I had totally forgotten about my initial excitement over the previews of this series. You have reminded me of its existence and now I need to find it.

If you're a fan of Cornell's insanity, you should like it. If nothing else, it will make you go, "Paul. Paul, you're not doing that. Are you? ARE YOU? Oh, thank god, you're not."

Also, his fangirl is THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER.

Mary Shannon rocks my world. For serious.

That scene at the end of that ep where her tall partner was shot where she started bawling in the hospital in her mother's arms MADE ME FEAR THAT I WOULD LOVE THIS SHOW. So I quit watching it, of course (all shows I like that I watch at Season 1 get cancelled, dammit!)

crossover with NCIS so Mary can punch Tony and go out for drinks and consolation sex with Ziva. pls.

I would read this fic, yes.

I've heard good things about the audios featuring the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa.
