I don't think either series has started screening here yet. I've seen the first episode or two of Flash Gordon, and WTF? Flash Gordon without space rockets?

Space rockets should be a must, of course.

Although those last few PKJs were a bit...odd. I think they were looking to open the series up a bit, but didn't quite know how to pull that off.

Oh,it has massive pacing issues, especially the last half of the season. But at least it was trying.

Hey, I liked PKJ. I thought the ep writing was uneven, mind you, and some of the internal tactical logic was crap, but the concept I liked.

And Flash Gordon is vile, abominable crap. So no argument from me there. But... *shrug* It's the Sci-Fi Channel. They have a history of supporting C-movies and D-series while letting the good stuff fall by the wayside. *scowl*

Oh, no question. It has issues and pacing problems, and needed someone with a stick to go, "YOU ALREADY SAID THAT THREE EPISODES AGO" along with someone to stop them making that awful flashback episode.

But all that aside, I still just watched four episodes where the majority of the conversation, action and plot-angled-stuff was female-driven.

Equality in writing and series concept is a good thing. Pity we don't see more of it. *grin*

Never saw PKJ, but Skiffy was a laughingstock for buying a whole season of Flash. Ouch!
