we're all just chalk outlines on the pavement of life

1. *is petty for a moment* My OTP has a love theme. Does yours? (Roslin and Adama shippers need not apply ;) ETA: AWESOMECAKES. Now I'm more pissed off than before. GOOD JOB.

2. Surreal moment of the day: I've got Sam and Kara up on my wall, and the cleaning lady asks who Trucco is. And then she says she remembers him from Pensacola: Wings of Gold.

3. Had forgotten how much I adored Eureka. Sigh.

1. Lys, I think L/K does as well. I know there has been at least one callback to 'Under The Wing' from Maelstrom.

Did Bear call it a love theme?

[identity profile] chev-y.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
You mean that was a love theme when they were sitting under the Viper and he told Kara more or less he and Dee were great and in love and she may as well forget it. That was a love theme there?! Lee does have a special way of showing his love for Kara, I guess. o_O

L/K does (Do? grammar, my enemy)!

For Six of One, Bear writes:
As Lee turns to leave, a solo fiddle plays the A-Section of their love theme, at first hesitant and restrained. As they kiss, the minor-tinted B-Section enters and the arrangement builds, adding lower strings and percussion.

I think he just likes to write love themes for everyone who appears on screen together. ;)

Ooh, where does Bear write such things? *offers you cookie to share*

Bear has a blog! It's actually pretty interesting, especially if you know a little bit about music. Even if you don't, it's pretty neat to read his thoughts behind some of the scenes and the way he chooses (or is directed) to score them.

The blog is here: http://www.bearmccreary.com/blog/

It's full of spoilers for aired eps, fyi.

Oh, this is great, thank you! I only have Revelations left to watch, but I was thinking a lot about BSG music today - I was six minutes into a track on my ipod when I did a double-take cause, "Whoa, is this the BSG theme?" Turns out I had had an extended version of the Gyatri Mantra in my itunes library all this time - it was quite a lovely surprise.

I'm gonna read through that blog once I watch Revelations. Thanks for the heads-up about the spoilers!

I do think all the couples have love themes. Still, ours is the prettiest. ;)

...Okay, Roslin and Adama is the prettiest. I can't listen to it without getting something in my eye. But that may be because someone made a Maelstrom video to it>

Well, it's always nice to have brightened someone's day with a laugh. Even if they exist only on the Internets. And so you don't know if they're an Evil Robot or something. Well, I suppose Evil Robots must also lol.
