1. I have new Sbabe fic and none of the rest of you do. *smug* YES. I AM TAUNTING YOU. *pets fic*
2. IT IS FRIDAY.not Sparta
3. Mary Shannon. I might have a crush. I haven't decided. I do know, though--
--that Mary Shannon, Jo McDonagh, Jane Vasko and Paula Cassidy all in a bar together? Spells scary times. For someone.
In fact.
"Why are we drinking jaeger-bombs?" Jo McDonagh asked. Her British accent sounded slightly out of place in the backstreet American bar, but it wasn't slurred. Given the large grouping of glasses on the table, one might assume she should sound less precise and clear.
"Health reasons," suggested Jane Vasko, tipping further back in her chair.
Mary Shannon burped, then slammed her empty glass down on the table and eyed the other two. "You've stopped drinking."
Flicking a peanut at her, Jane snickered, "Only because the next round's yours." Jane sounded perfectly sober, which was more of a feat than Jo's sobriety, given that Jane had been drinking longer.
If asked, Mary would have sworn Jane should be falling off her chair, not tipping it steadily back until she was practically levitating. "Is it? Could'a sworn--" she peered towards the bar, then waved a hand, trying to get the bartender's attention. "Hey!"
Getting up and walking over was a little out of the question, at this point.
Jo, who hadn't matched Jane drink for drink rolled her eyes and stood to go handle the ordering.
"Sit down--" a hand shoved Jo back in her chair and Paula Cassidy dropped into one of the other chairs with a sigh. "I've got two rounds coming. Someone owes me."
"Vasko," Mary announced, leaning back in her own chair a little too far and landing on her ass a second later.
Jane apparently found the whole thing hilarious, but still didn't fall out of her chair as she laughed, head tilted to the side as she watched Mary drag herself out from under the table and her chair and back to her feet.
"C'mon--" Jo grabbed Mary's arm and held her up as Paula righted her chair. "No more beer for you."
"But I like beer," objected Mary.
"We can tell," Paula muttered.

I had BSG before you. HAHAHAHAa crazy thought !?!
(Anonymous) 2008-06-08 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)Can you imagine these four together on the case? Shots fired, explosives going off, the hand-to-hand combat, and thats' just between them!
Imagine the diplomatic furball resulting from their actions.
Of course they would be proven right in the end (after turning a quiet upmarket area into a combat zone).

Re: a crazy thought !?!
I'm toying with it, but I actually need to write a plot, and my plot-writing skills are rustier than I'd like them to be. Also, NCIS vs US Marshall vs SIB vs whoever Jane's working for in jurisdiction would be... amusing.
I'm imagining Jenny Shepard vs. Captain Howard, and I think Jenny comes out on top, there. I don't know who Mary's boss is, and McBride would be out of his league.
