Well. That was pointless.

Can we go back to not having Lee and Romo in episodes now, please?

Now I know why they made us wait two weeks. They were hoping we'd forget the sheer awesome of Faith and Guess What... so that this mindless shit would entertain salivating fans who craved their show.

It was 43 minutes of proving that Dad is a less lame Chakotay. And still can't function as a Real Person.

Well. I guess it's nice they decided to let the male characters do something. And they killed a man! Off screen. And he was an asshole.

And Dad's stuff was ok?

I just. Like, seriously? That's the best they could come up with? Playing with minor characters and not moving the plot along at all?

Next you'll tell me they're not going to actually reach Earth.

I'm more annoyed that they killed the cat. BET SHE WAS FEMALE.

And oh, Dad. Oh, Dad. *shakes head at the man*

And I'm a little out of my depth with what is going on this season so I'm kind of... eh. *handwave* But I agree with the Lee and Romo NO MORE show.

Ha! And Jake the dog lives and takes her place. Of course.

The cat's name was Lance, but that could have just been for show and not an indication of gender.

But my point about them killing off a male was that, as of right now? They've killed off upwards of five women this season. And all of their deaths were on screen and in technicolor.

[identity profile] alryssa.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Dad made me cry. *sniffles*

Lee can just... ugh. GO AWAY LEE. I DO NOT CARE.

WORD.

Hey, you know what would have made this better? YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT.

Oh, BILLY. Your cuteness alone could have saved the fleet.

WOULDN'T IT!?

Seriously, my love for that boy is pure. PURE.

I adore him though. He was the voice of reason and practicality when Mom started going off the rails. <3

[identity profile] alryssa.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
YOUR LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDS, A.J.

NO BOUNDS!!

DAD. OH, DAD. YOU WILL WAIT. AND READ. AND MAKE ME CRY SOME MORE.

[identity profile] zahdahe.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
*Screws eyes thrnew specs* Are you sure you love for the Billyman is TOTALLY PURE! I really like Billyman but as a younger brother with the pure heart and ethics vibe he has - cos in my head he is still alive giving out strength and stuff to others. Yeah I also agree no more Lee and Romo show; Boring there dosen't seem to be and true hate between them. Big Daddy Adama looked so cute in his flight suit. I squeed! Just couldn't help myself.

[identity profile] the-jackalope.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Just ugh. It was LAME. LAAAAAME. And I'm not one to usually think that. Plus I thought, and I could be TOTALLY WRONG, but I thought Kara went with Roslin to the baseship. Am I wrong about that?

[identity profile] jennyo.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Apparently we were both wrong, but I thought Kara was on the baseship with Laura, too. So it was shot in a confusing fashion.

[identity profile] the-jackalope.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, I think I need to go rewatch just the end of that episode, cause i could SWEAR Kara was there. SWEAR it.
ext_18106: (Default)

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
There was the implication, but we never saw Kara on the basestar two weeks ago. Just Helo, crazypants and Mom.

[identity profile] the-jackalope.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I think a rewatch it in order. hm....

[identity profile] pataka02.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
*yawns* is it over? If I was President, first order of business? Putting duct tape on all the Quorum members' mouths.

[identity profile] amazingly-shiny.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
You're nicer than I am. I'd airlock them.
ext_18106: (Default)

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Well, she does tend to just ignore them. Which, more power to her, man.

[identity profile] jennyo.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
I guess they have realized that without the Roslin and Baltar "which of us is a crazier mofo?" game, BSG has kind of reached this...blankness.

I mean, Adama was sweet, but are we at all surprised that he will wait for Roslin until she comes back...and is like, "WTF, you let LEE take my job?"
ext_18106: (Billy pirate)

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
I was highly looking forward to that, along with the hybrid. I feel like I've been royally cheated out of awesome crack and goodness.

[identity profile] jennyo.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Seriously, where was the crack? Starbuck is suddenly sane again. We need Roslin and Baltar going at each other like they weren't ditched on a basestar and screwed and screwed hard. :)

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
I think part of the annoyance and disconnect is that Faith and Guess What's... were very full of women. Maybe 50-80% of the scenes were with women, and even some of the women actually conversed. Which was a bit shocking, for BSG.

And, watching this episode? All about the men. And their pain. *yawn*

[identity profile] jennyo.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
And the thing is, their pain is so...lame.

Adama is mooning like a teenager over a woman who's dying and possibly a Cylon and would have left him behind on the basestar if he was dumb enough to take Baltar and faff off to a basestar for the lulz. Also, he has to realize that Laura and Athena had the same vision of Hera being kidnapped by Caprica.

Caprica, who is having Tigh's magic baby. Seriously, do robots not wear condoms? Tigh, you're supposed to be, like, 65-70, you shouldn't be having the Knocked Up conversation with a fellow Cylon.

And Lee....oh, god, why does he still live and breathe? Why won't Mom airlock him for the good of humanity?

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Tigh, you're supposed to be, like, 65-70, you shouldn't be having the Knocked Up conversation with a fellow Cylon.

Saul "Tony Randall" Tigh.

*ducks and runs*

[identity profile] amazingly-shiny.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
That episode sucked. I'll be posting my entire reaction soon, because well I wrote it as the episode aired so I might as well. I admit to getting excited when I saw Romo. I was hoping they'd kill him off.

Oh and Leland is still getting on my nerves.
ext_18106: (Default)

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just, like, seriously? This was something they wanted to waste an entire episode on?

[identity profile] chev-y.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Leland? Bwahahaha!
A girl on b-blog posted the only thing missing from the Lee red shirt scene was a sudden mysterious wind and Lee's longer hair blowing in the breeze. Good one! lmao

[identity profile] frolicndetour.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
so that this mindless shit would entertain salivating fans who craved their show.

I should have been more entertained then!

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2008-06-01 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
But you're a cynical fan. ;)

[identity profile] zahdahe.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Kara? How come she is now so damn calm. What finding out she is humanity apocolypse has had a calming influence!
Dont think so. SUPERDUPER CRAZY BUCKY IS STILL IN THERE! HOWLING INSIDE HER TEMPORARY CAGE!

Sorry seriously ranting!

If you're interested and haven't seen them already, previews for The Hub can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDegpnw3fRw

and here: http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Battlestar-Galactica-Clip-Hub-10706.html

The latter is the more spoilery because it is an actual clip.
