*melts in heat*
Man. It was in the 50s when I left Milwaukee. It's HOT down here in Texas.
Anyway. Wedding was safely accomplished. And, as I'm a wimp, we didn't do much at Faire, just wandered around some and then left for the dy. Plus: no sunburn. Minus: no shiny things bought. Not that there were shiny things I needed.
Finally saw Iron Man and. Man. Um. You all know my general opinion of slash and such, yes? Well. If there is not Tony/Rhodey slash from this movie, FANDOM HAS FAILED ME.
Seriously, people. I don't slash and I was picking up awesome chemistry from them.
Gwyneth Paltrow was ok, but her facial expressions just reminded me of every other movie I've seen her in.
I don't, for the record, actually want to read said slash.
In other news, is it Friday yet?

I just wondered over from
Tony/Rhodey seem to really compliment each other. Seriously, how cute were they?
And Paltrow... eh... I could take her or leave her. I think someone who can really act would have brought a little something extra to the part.
In random news... sorry about the heat in TX... I know I'd take WI over TX any day!

I was utterly amused, as I'm the one who rarely slashes boys. And I was the one going, "...man, they have chemistry..."
Possibly, it's helped by the fact that I've read the comics, and no woman EVER should be forced to date/love/marry Tony Stark. Ever. No man should, either, really.
Yeah, I should be clear on that. It wasn't Pepper I had issues with, it was the writing and the acting.
the princess disguised as the scullery maid who marries the prince is a little overdoneHAH. Well, it's even colder here, now. Sigh.

See, I sometimes do slash boys, but sometimes... it writes itself. BTW, I looked. There are four stories about them! FOUR! Ridiculous! I thought the fandom would be more on top of these things.
Anywho. I agree that Tony is not really the kind of settle down/get married type. With anyone.
I didn't hate the character of Pepper, either. I'm just not a fan of Paltrow. I've never really seen her acting as... you know... good... so I just don't really see the point of her. Sure, she is skinny, but so is a tree. Doesn't mean they should try to act.

Also, I don't even slash and could buy the concept of Iron Man/War Machine chemistry.
