man. it is way too frakkin' early to be up...

especially on a Saturday morning.

Most especially when I see a guy in a white bathrobe while driving home from dropping roomie off at the library. wtf. It's only 17 out there, man. PUT SOME GOD-DAMN CLOTHES ON.

I hope that was a really warm robe, otherwise he's going to loose a few things to go with the mind he has apparently already lost.

It looked like one of those big terry-cloth monsters, but yeah. I was like, "?? Did I just see--dude, I did. wtf?"

Bathrobe and only 17 degrees, brings a whole new meaning to the term "numbnuts".

Yes, indeed.

eeesh. That's worse than the people who go out in T-shirts when it's 27 degrees.

And I hope you went back to bed. ;)

I went out in 12 degrees in my jeans and tank top last week, to take out trash... I suspect I might be worst of all. (I'd been cleaning and was over-heated)

I did! I had awesome dreams, too.

Also, I remembered some stuff about brainwashing and now have a fic idea. sigh.

Oh, interesting. Is this connected to Pataka02's post?

...actually, it probably is. *blinks* It was on my brain when I was curled up. But actually, it was a Forensic Files episode the other night. There are four tools, so to speak.

A shock.
Isolation.
Indoctrination.
Reward. (or a promise of)

The last three are obvious, in Kara's being held by Leoben. But you can't tell me that the Cylons invading was enough of a shock to knock her off her pins (so to speak).

Anyway. Hrm.

[identity profile] frolicndetour.livejournal.com 2008-02-24 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah - but maybe that's why it took four months - she wasn't worn down enough simply being captured. Maybe the recreation of the apartment, too. Hmm.

In what sense was Kacey a reward, though? I agree that she was, just, I'm actually thinking of writing that Kacey fic (oh gods), and it's hard to suss out. Because it wasn't Kacey herself, since she wasn't something Kara wanted - was it more that the "reward" was Leoben telling her she wasn't like her mother, that the injury was an accident? Oh, and maybe the injury itself was the "shock" that finally brought her around. (I think Leoben pushed her down the stairs - no way was he leaving that to chance.)

I actually wasn't thinking about Kacey. Just simply the lack of rape, coercion, being tied to a bed? Hrm. Not sure.

And I've always thought Leoben pushed her.

AND HA HA HA. GC will be pleased.
