SFF: *yawn* It is naptime soon edition

Eli Stone: ... heheheh
Sarah Connor Chronicles: Well, that at least works. Sort of.

ES 'Freedom'
I hadn't intended to watch Eli Stone, but the teaser sort of hooked me. It was amusing, light and fluffy, with enough to keep me interested.

The episode itself wasn't bad, and all of the women were really awesome. So. Y'know, yeah.

And then. And then there was Victor Garber singing along with a choir. This show? This show is high high crack. Possibly, I may succeed in making [livejournal.com profile] nique watch it.

TSC 'pilot'
It felt very much like retread of the second movie, with references to the third. Sarah was pretty awesome, even if she got herself captured (eyeroll), though, luckily, then she shot things.

However, Terminator's logic was flawed: he didn't need Sarah Connor alive to replicate her voice or set up an ambush. Tsk. What are they programming these things with today?

John = whiny ass little brat who should be killed, really, to put us all out of our misery.

Cameron = Aw. The robot wants to be a REAL GIRL! ...yeah. Hey, guys? This isn't Star Trek. At least there, Brent Spiner would, y'know, actually keep my interest.

I fast-forwarded almost every John scene. He was kinda pointless, sadly. Sigh. Cameron at least hit things, which made her more interesting than him (I didn't say she could act, I just said she hit things). Also, John is skeevy-looking. Someone should make him cut his hair and take a shower.

Sarah, otoh, almost total and complete win (also hot, and the backseat of the police car bit at the beginning = so much awesomesauce). So was the woman they went and tormented.

So, for that matter, is hot Mr. FBI Agent. Hey, Sarah? Dump the kid and go shack up with him. It'll do you a world of good.

The one thing I said, halfway through was, "This is gonna get old if they keep having to run week after week". Sadly, despite the Magic Time Machine (someone has been reading the Virgin NAs, btw), I fear that is the exact result of this. The other thing I said, on encountering FBI Agent Man was that it reminded me of Route 666. SADLY, there will be no demons, or men running around in drag (woe) or my hot demon boyfriend (suddenly, my obsession with Leoben makes more sense).

And finally, Bear, honey, I love you and your music, but for fuck's sake, I should NOT be going "and now it's time to cue the Emotional Music" and there it is, blaring and grating and pulling me totally out of the scene.

I...I think I love Eli Stone. SPYDADDY! AND DOC ABBOTT! *hearts them*

It's Berlanti, so he KNOWS how awesome Tom Amandes is. I just hope he uses the man.

I was like, "...dude. they are--oh, holy fuck, they are gonna sing. AHAHAH." at it all.

Maybe, but iirc, he didn't save John's folks in T2 for interrogation. Eh. It just seemed unrealistic. I know, a show about robots and time travel, and I find that the unrealistic part.

they don't run week after week, just so you know. :)

FBI man is an interesting side story - he has to deal with the wreckage Our Heroes and their war leave behind and try to solve it like it's a normal case, even while he's pretty sure it's not normal at all. I assume at some point he's going to cross paths with them, but that hasn't happened yet.

I like John, myself. I think it gives his character somewhere to go (and he does start developing some good ideas and want to act, even when Sarah doesn't) but shows HOW MUCH he still has to learn from his totally awesomesauce mom.

I thought they had finished their season of 13, but I learned there are only 8 done. Which won't even last another month. bummer.

Eli Stone is so chock-full of legal stupidities I can't watch, despite the crack. Except for Trucco, of course. *g*

Trucco is the only reason I'll keep watching it.

FBI man is an interesting side story - Ahahah. Yeah, Route 666 all over again, then. Man. I should re-read that series.

Boys who are whiny and angsty bore me, sadly.

Wait - Trucco's on Eli Stone??

*wails* I didn't know! I stopped watching the minute it looked like Eli was going to switch sides in the middle of a trial. And it was treated as the Right Thing instead of, y'know, a gross breach of ethics.

He's only supposed to be in one episode, hence watching to find him.

eli stone makes me surprisingly happy... spy daddy and dr. abbott and just yes, please.

And I'm really impressed that they didn't go the tired "evil entitled bitch" route with the fiancee. Instead, she's priveleged, yes, but really kind and geniunely in love. And she rocks the law.

Yeah, I liked his fiancee and his PA way better than I liked him. (shocker, I'm sure) I liked Maddy, too.
