Rumpole vs. Romo Lampkin

I don't have a long, meta-ey thing to say. Mostly, I would just like to note that Rumpole would have defended Baltar and not only got him off, but rousted out the Final Four, told Roslin off for her hatred of Gaius, and mocked Adama a lot.

Because Horace Rumpole, barrister > Romo Lampkin.

Of course. Rumpole = more awesome than God, too, so the former should surprise no one.

And, just to depress myself slightly, there will never be a Rumpole/Lampkin showdown, because, well, Leo McKern is dead. Sigh.

This is very true. He wouldn't have publicly humiliated her, either. And he would have had a go at fixing Kara and Sam's marriage! And Lee and Dee's, too, although he would have told Dee she was far too awesome and--

Yep old Rumpo was fantastic. Wonderful way of looking at the world, warts and all. Leo McKern Fucking fantastic actor. Always made you believe his characters, whether they be well written or not. Man of Gravitas. He and Rumpole.

Ms. Liz would also improve things greatly, though she would probably end up on the prosecution's side, since those in power who grind down the proletariat clearly need taking down.

Zarek would try chatting her up and she'd probably follow him until he disillusioned her, and then she and Billy (who is obviously still alive in this scenario, because he would be the BEST CLERK EVER) and Dee form a cooperative and roust out everyone...
