wacky brain

I spent the night dreaming in rpf. I think. It's a little hard to tell. Possibly, Trucco, Heath Ledger and Katee Sackhoff were involved. And gender-swapping.

Apparently, it's going to snow again.

Dear Fred Phelps, please go walk in front of a speeding Mack truck, you asshole.

Dear Christians of America, you know where this asshole lives (unlike, say, muslims and Osama), why are you continuing to let him paint you as hateful, spiteful, angry people who aren't useful for anything but shoving in front of Mack trucks?

I saw that linked on ontd *shamefully admits to perusing said LJ comm* and definitely saw red. *uses appropriate icon*

I actually called my brother into the room and showed him - he's a journo with the ABC and had to go and do the "death knock" at his parents house today - if you watched the clip you can see his microphone in the frame. He said it was incredibly sad, particularly as Heath was so loved here and that it was such a shock to them all.

He considered calling it in, but on reflecting said that it was just too incredibly crass and insensitive to publish it, or mention it on radio at this time. Mind you, it will most probably hit the media fairly soon and that's just depressing.

I'm kind of hoping that they won't be able to picket his funeral here, I think that we have much more explicit laws on hate speech and anti-social behaviour and I can tell you now that if they try any of that shit here in Perth they might just find themselves lynched.

It's all just so sad, I only knew him kind of tangentially when I was in my teens (heh, we knew all those Guildford Grammar boys - they were definitely incredibly hot and oh-so cool to us sheltered schoolgirls), but he was always so much fun and always laughing.

I didn't actually read the link (I didn't need that kind of aggravation before work). But, yeah. Sad.

I didn't hear what he said, but I can only imagine...

The sad thing is, I didn't actually need to hear anything new from him to loathe him a lot. sigh.

WHAT? They are going picket Heath's funeral?

Of course, Brokeback Mountain. Right. I guess they needed something to do after they picketed the funeral of the pregnant murdered marine from Camp Legume.

I was thinking of who else is as sue happy as Phelps. Then it came to me: Tom and and the clams.

I'm just waiting for a statement from Katie. I'm don't think she and Michelle were at all close since she went planet Xenu but maybe she can send some Scietol goons to do security at the memorial service.

Maybe his next plane flight will end in disaster. One can only hope.

Oh my. Who would want to soil a perfectly nice Mack Truck with that?

Phelps is one of those people that I wish the media would never mention, just like I wish they would never mention the name of these spree killers who shoot up schools and malls and such.

Publicity is this guy's lifeblood. If the attention went away, he probably would to.

There's pressure cleaners for a reason, you know.

There are times I hate our country's permissive speech laws. Not often, but there are times. Usually Fred Phelps is involved. Seriously why do we have to let them picket funerals? I would think that falls under "time, place, and manner."

"Oops, sorry, was that your ass I just tripped out the airlock? Lee! Got another floater!"

Let's go talk about Kara Thrace instead. And the many, many ways Kara Thrace would kick Fred Phelps' ass.

*sighs to imagine a Kara/Freddie boxing match*

How the fuck can you call yourself a Christian and not actual follow any of the teaching of Christ, like oh, "whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me."

I got into an argument with a hardcore Catholic about who told me that Jesus saying things like "vengeance is mine" and such means that people like Fred Phelps are A-ok. And it was like ... I'm pretty sure he mean that he got to judge people because he = God. Which is not true of you. Or Fred Phelps.

It kind of makes me wish I still believed in eternal Hellfire, just so I could imagine people like Phelps roasting for all eternity. 'Course, I'd probably be right there with him. Minor detail. ;)

pls to be writing this fic.

Sam would be watching her back. And possibly telling Lee it totally wasn't their fault, or something. Mostly because Lee's all, "Kara and those two I believe it of. But you, Sam? I thought you were smarter than that." To which Sam looks him in the eye and replies: "She's hot, Lee, what can I say? Also? That guy is an ass."

And your last paragraph is making me giggle, just not allowed. Am too sleepy for loudness. And cold.

Because America actually thinks he's an upstanding guy who should say things like that.

Hey, maybe while he's gone my state can find some way to prevent him from returning.

Wait? He's picketing Ledger's funeral? I havent read/seen anything on it, but wouldnt that be in Australia?

No idea where it is. Maybe someone could shoot his plane down?

We couldnt be so lucky. *hunts for SAM*

I’m all for it. I was happy to learn God hates smoking like I do. This is a good cause to get the world rid of this abomination. Protesting against smoking is good and just and I’m sure the WBC should and will continue the good work.

However I’m not sure if Australians would appreciate the anti-smoking picket at the funeral. It’s a long flight and I’m sure it itself would be torture enough for any smoker willing to go to Heath’s funeral. Getting deported after paying for ticket to Australia is to lose money that could be spent otherwise on some more worthy subject – like picketing sports events sponsored by tobacco companies – like racing.
>:| ;)

And seriously I if I believed in hell I would say that living with that much hate is like being in hell already. I hope they enjoy it. It seems it’s all they have.
