go straight to hell, boys

1. *prods porn battle for more fic with women in it*

2. Have discovered that boyslash makes me giggle like a schoolgirl when there is porn. (kissing just makes me go "ooh, pretty" naked boybits, and manly grunting makes me snicker and unable to take it seriously). I suspect this is the reaction various people have to various kinds of porn.

3. new Torchwood. *makes grabby hands, even though she's waiting for BBCA to show it in... ten days* Damn.

4. Keep forgetting to watch the dvr'd Sarah Connor whatsit. Summer Glau = complete lack of interest, unfortunately. This is not as bad as putting Nick Cage in it, of course. I wouldn't waste dvr space on Nick Cage. Not even for Trucco.

5. Keep marathonning NCIS. Damn. It's not an addiction, I can quit strong female characters any time!

6. Cassie Edwards plagiarism debacle. Well. That makes me want to be a novelist less and less.

7. I would like my Sam Anders figure now. Caprica Six is bored, even if she and Replicarter may have taken over the world my desktop. (I can't tell. I buried them under story notes)

8. The My Little Pony, however, is still on top of things. Speaking of, my niece inherited the twenty or so MLPs that were stored at my parents' house. She was pleased.

9. I should, quite probably, go to bed.

10. I would like it to snow a foot so I can stay home tomorrow.

Dude, Sarah Connor is second only to Ellen Ripley as THE iconic Kickass female character (in film, I'll pass on the literary debate).

How can you NOT watch? *boggled*

Because every post I've seen goes on and on about how awesome Summer is. Summer is not Sarah Connor. If I want to watch Summer "I'm not skinny enough even though I look like I haven't eaten in ten days, let me go puke some more" Glau, I will watch Firefly, where I can try to pretend it isn't all about her.

hm. You do realize there's a crazy Firefly fanbase certain fannish base for Summer though, right? So people are more enthusiastic about her. People don't know who Lena Headey is. I think she does a fabulous job of being Sarah without outright imitating Linda Hamilton. She's tough, but not invincible. she doesn't have as many fight scenes, but she has some and she's the one in charge of their merry little band. I don't know, I like watching her and I certainly look forward to next week. But... *shrug* if Summer makes your skin crawl, there's not much to do about that, I guess.

Less skin-crawling, more eye-rolling. I actually think she's a good actor (which can not be said for Cage), and pretty deserving of the kickass chick mantle.

I just prefer other people.

Dude. Boyporn makes ME giggle inappropriately, and I write it. (I will note that it's hard not to laugh when a certain someone AIMs me with "So... I imagine surpise!buttsex would not go over well?")

*snickers* Well, that's not surprising.

Cassie Edwards plagiarism debacle. Well. That makes me want to be a novelist less and less.

Someone plagiarized her, or the other way around?

Link?

She plagarized a text on FERRETS, of all things.

Bwahahahahahaha!

http://www.newsweek.com/id/94543/page/1

Come on.... you would think she would have figured out that the whole Janet Dailey plagarism scandal from back in the what - the early to mid 90's - would have made a dent in her little pea brain. (Janet Dailey pretty much outright stole a Nora Roberts book. Ms. Dailey then appeared as an author guest a few years back at Archon & just gave me the total complete weirdo vibe. :-p)

I don't read Cassie Edwards - just her writing style & chosen genre (always Cowboys & Indians - always) totally not my cup of tea. I shudder & gag whenever I pass by her books on the shelf at like Wally. I prefer my books to have more depth to them than her stuff. :-p

Okay, litterbox of doom awaits.... must go clean up mess LC has made of utility closet... oh joy. NOT!

question remains - does it work for non-UK folks? BBC has most of the TW website blacked out for non-UK folks.

2. You know, I have the same reaction to femmeslash. I can appreciate the hell out of beautiful women, but when they start groping each other, I'm usually either bored or giggling. Which is sad, because I would imagine I'm missing a lot of fun. :)

YES. Exactly. I'm certain there are boy/femslash fiends who have the same reaction to het, too (I seem to recall reading that, somewhere). And people who find all porn, no matter the type, giggle-inducing.
