comics: short comments.

Or sorta short.

ok.

1. Painkiller Jane (issue 4) is having a Terminator crossover. It is possibly the AWESOMEST THING EVER AND LIKE READING FANFICTION IN COMIC FORM. Especially awesome is the fact that I do not have to write this awesome crack, because someone else is doing it for me. THIS IS WAY BETTER THAN CHRISTMAS. Also, Nigel Raynor is doing the art, slumming a bit from his gig on the Terminator book, and his Jane is, ah... His Jane Vasko is his Kara Thrace. *giggles madly*

Obviously, this means I'll have to pick up the rest of Terminator: Infinity--I grabbed issue four, since there was a cranky-looking brunette with muscles and a gun on the cover, and it's not a bad read (OMG. John isn't whining!)

2. Crime Bible, issues 1 and 2. Oh, man. This is so right up my alley, and hits nicely in that spot OCT was last year. It's Buffy, for adults, really. Or an updated Knights of Pendragon (the first set, with the Green Knight and legends and awesome political commentary), sort of. But the hero is a woman. And she's awesome.

Also, there is femslash in my comicbook. Mmm.

I'm a little wary of the Omniscient Male Bad Guy, but I'll live. At least he isn't Ari.

3. Cable and Deadpool, issue, uh, 48. Um. The cover is pretty? Honestly, I couldn't bring myself to care. It's kind of sad. So I didn't bother reading it. Instead, I went back and poked PKJ again.

Possibly, I just don't like boys as much as I like girls.

Oh. I poked at the scary Baltar comic, and it has miniwee!Gaius on his daddy's farm. sigh. Oh, BSG. You kind of SUCK. And so did the Angel comic they had. It was... bad looking.

At least now I have books to pick up again, since BSG ended and Dark Xena ended, and... Faith is not in my Buffy anymore. *pout* (actually, I'm still buying Buffy)

Or you were depressed because it's going away...

I think I'm still in denial about that, actually. And, really, I haven't read the last three issues, either. So it's not just this month--and I heart Fabian madly, I'm just... meh on reading it without Nate. Does that make me a h8ter?

Naah. Wade works best with a foil, and while it's fun reading about him solo and dragging poor Bob around...it's just not the same.

This is true. And I adore Bob enough to have almost bought the Hydra soldier figure, just so I could have a Bob, but... not so much with the love.

I'm actually kind of digging the Angel comic (assuming you're talking about After the Fall, the "Season 6" thing Joss is doing).

Possibly. Mostly, I've discovered that I'm not allthat interested in Angel or Spike. I had the same reaction the Spike thing earlier this year.

I told you so.

I KNOW. But I didn't write it! It's very confusing.

Please tell me Jane fights a T-X from Terminator 3.

Because that would be hilarious, considering... ;)

I am saddened to say it looks like River shows up at the end (well, really, it's Nigel's Boomer, with the wrong color of skin. BUT.)

YOU DID. That was actually why I insisted on going out last night for comics, really.

Of course, no one could expect my gleeful "I could have written this!" reaction. It's enough to make me wanna write Jimmy P. and thank him for giving me awesome crack!fic in shiny comicbook form.
