This is like a tutorial in How Not To Make Music Videos. These are just awful, atrociously-directed, over-produced, over-edited pieces of crap. Also, the singer chick keeps trying for the Shirley Manson style of GRRL ROCKER Rockin' Out movements, and totally totally fails at it.

*cackles* Yes, Shiny Toy Guns are rather good when listened to (at least, their production values are) but. Wow. You're very right about the videos. Just. O.o Someone needs to introduce them to better directors and make them sit in a corner when they have ideas. Just. O.o

I mean, dude, Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys and The Cardigans can all get into some wacked-out, not-with-the-sense-making in their videos. But it's... stylish, and with some sort of purpose! This feels like someone said, "Hey, this is cool and that's cool, and throw some slo-mo in on top of the rain!" and. It looks ugly./
