Atlantis: Can we keep her? Please?

Seriously. I was in love with the woman from the moment she turned off the radiation shields to beat John at his own game. Then she hauled off and hit him several times for the message thing. And then she bit his hand in the closet.

CAN WE KEEP HER, PLEASE?

I'm kind of deeply in love.

Not to mention: she stole his gun and stunned his ass.

I really really love her.

Then there's her people. Now, I didn't actually see the first half of the episode, so I don't know about the rest of them, but from the little I saw of her and her motivations, they make sense. In a sense, she's in a war against the Wraith as much as Shep is. The stakes are just higher on Atlantis's side because of Earth.

But as far as she's concerned, they're higher for her. And I love that she was willing to do anything for her people.

*happysigh*

Oh. And we now have CANON PICTORIAL EVIDENCE of Teyla's "Boys ARE STUPID" look. This requires screencaps and lots of iconage, people.

eta: have now seen it all. Really really still like her. She had a plan, and she wasn't going to let anyone dissuade her. Plus? She's in complete and total charge, and that's hot, awesome, and fucking awesome.

She is really pretty kickass. Plus. She hits Shep. How is that not awesome? ;)

*giggles* Great episode, wasn't it? I knew you'd like her as soon as she bit John's hand. ;)

I was already in love, but that tipped into madly in love. ;)

Yes! She was SO AWESOME AND FUN! :-)

And Teyla was great as well!

Oh, Teyla was awesome. "Maybe we should try talking before we find ourselves in a shooting war, boys?" LISTEN TO HER GUYS... sigh.

YES! I was so afraid to read the reviews of this ep because if the woman-hate got going I was going to have to smack a bitch...

Well. Avoid anyone but me and raisintorte. The "omg psycho bitch" crowd are loud. Also, apparently, some people just thought it was a really bad episode.

Gee, how NOT surprised am I?

Also, apparently, the actress was really really bad. I must have missed that in her totally pwning the screen.

Yeah, I saw that too and had to laugh, because I thought JF was total shit and it was only Larrin's actress who saved the chemistry.

I guess we're two of a kind for this ep.

Actually, I liked it a lot. And she's totally fabulous. And I totally love that you have an icon of her already.

I'm just highly amused that, here I was ranting about BSG and women, and SGA produced a really faceted female character who was awesome.

I would have more, but GW's images suck ass.

It wasn't my favorite episode ever, but it was fun, and Teyla's eye-roll at the end was worth the price of admission ten times over. ;)
