short thought: the middle was good, Katee couldn't save any of her scenes, and the ending was crap.

Ok, so. The Katee sections were basically Starbuck. And not even good Starbuck. Recycled Starbuck. Ruth's two appearances were also lame.

The middle, with Jaime beating up people and following her gut instincts and finding out she only has five years to live? Not so bad.

The ending, and every scene with her sister was shit. So was Jaime crying at Jonas "omg I'm dying". what???!??

*sad* Seriously. Jaime being kickass and making decisions was good. Her dialog with IW was awful, though. Also, HE was awful. Can he please die soon? I mean, really. That whole "I didn't tell you the plan because you would've backed out" shit? Yeah. Honey, you don't fuck your partner around.

The scene in the bar, with Sarah and the snowboarder, I kept waiting for Jaime to show up. Because that would have been so much better.

sigh.

I think I'm the only one who's still not seeing a lot of Starbuck in Sarah Corvus. I mean the poker game was a total shout-out, but she seemed a little too... refined(?) for Starbuck.

But I agree with the rest. Esp. IW/Antonio. Can Jaime beat him up in every episode?

It's the dialog, mostly. She actually moves differently than Starbuck--you're right about the refinement. There's less bruiser/boxer in Sarah (except when she's fighting), and more stately poise.

But her backstory and the emotional reactions to certain things are pure Starbuck.
