I love you guys, but I'm not choosing seven icons. *sticks out tongue*

meganbmoore chose seven of mine, during my frustrated rambling earlier (everyone should give lucyparavel, karma_aster and kali921 kudos for putting up with me in full ARGH RANTY TEAR OUT MY HAIR AND WEEP mode).
Attention: some of the following icons contain spoilers for Atlantis season three.
There was Yet Another Kerfuffle on the Sam/Jack list about what a horrible hussy Sam Carter was, and how she was cheating on Jack O'Neill by marrying Pete Shanahan, iirc. And Splash the Cat was being amusing and talking about loving her intergalactic space hussy.
And, well, I kinda needed an icon that said I loved Sam and she was hot, and, y'know, I didn't care how much of a hussy she was.
I use it when I'm feeling snarky and, ah, hussy-like.
Still the hottest crossover pairing ever, and possibly the hottest pairing I've ever contemplated. Sam Carter and Kara Thrace are never EVER going to be in the same show. For one thing, NO ONE does crossover shows anymore. And for another, the screen might implode from the hotness.
For when I'm snarky and/or wanting to annoy someone who dislikes female characters. Or, y'know, just spreading the love.
Farscape meets SG-1. It took way too long to find a good shot of Aeryn and John holding nearly the same pose as Vala and Daniel, but I did it. Because I had to have my wacky crossover in-joke icon. Especially because they're wearing similar, "Wait. What show are we in again?" looks.
For amusing in-jokey snark, or general silliness.
Classic Cable and Domino. It was the kiss that launched a thousand fangirl hearts and spawned more than a dozen bad fics. About to die, and have their lives swept away in the desert, Domino and Cable kiss, expressing their feelings towards each other...
The quote is straight fromnique, since it took another armageddon to get Domino and Cable in the same book again.
For randomness, comic conversation, and occasionally pointing out that THEY HAVE TOO KISSED....
Related to the Sam Carter hussy icon. Chiana, Kitty Pryde, Sam Carter and Kara Thrace = my intergalactic space hussies. They can't help being adorable and getting the wrong kind of attraction... or something like that. Plus, they all punch people when they need to. Though Sam's still a little repressed.
Back when it was first announced that Sam Carter was moving from SG-1 to Atlantis, there was a massive uproar from the Atlantis crowed. Sam was going to come in and wreck their show! She would destroy their 'ships! It would all end in horror! Splash decided to mock them, eventually. Mocking helps.
For mocking stupid people.
Also in response to the Atlantis backlash, but specifically aimed at the slashers (the same people who will write reams for male characters who HAVE NO LINES ON THE SHOW AT ALL will deride and hate and abuse female characters and claim they're boring). I think this one might have come about right after the "Kill Sam Carter" ficathon debacle.
