For once, my ability to not blink for an hour serves me well!

Heh. It's a useful ability? Just, y'know... Make sure you're watching the weeping angels....

I expected to be terrified, but somehow, I was not. Frankly, it's a little disappointing, except for that part where I hate being scared.

Um. Good show!

It was suitably creepy, which was really all I asked. At least there was no droning on about 'saxon' or 'torchwood' or 'bad wolf'.

Now, if I'd been terrified, I'd be spending the next ten hours awake until I was too sleepy not to fall over. Though I'm not putting it past my over-active imagination to give me interesting dreams about creepy statues.

*pets*

When I saw the ep this summer, I was living next to a cemetery. A cemetery with angel statues. Guess how well I slept.

C'mon, I haven't been unable to sleep since I saw Aliens for the first time... in Florida... at age 10....

Luckily, I'll just end up having dreams about approving invoices and stuffing envelopes. sigh.

Carnivorous angels? Really?

I... dude. Just watch the episode. You don't need to know what happened in the other two, there's no relation, at ALL.

Because he didn't write Queer As Folk, I gather.

I want to get a weeping angel statue and stick it outside someone's bedroom window the night after that plays here.

Cause I'm evil

I was bored with it until they were in the house trying to get to the Tardis, and then it was just so freakin' creepy that it grabbed me.

Felt like an X Files episode, really.

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2007-09-15 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry you were bored. Be glad it wasn't the endless lengthiness of the first Dalek story? Because there was a lot of boring random wandering about in dessicated forests and plots that made no sense (Oh, Terry, I still love you, but, GOD, man...)
ext_1012: (dalek chase)

[identity profile] stargazercmc.livejournal.com 2007-09-15 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, don't get me wrong. The second half of the episode totally made up for my boredom in the first half. It probably also has to do with the fact that Dish Network wasn't giving me any sound for the first 10 minutes on Skiffy and I was having to read captions.

And it was also one of those "holy cow, this ep rocked all along" epiphanies once I realized what was happening.

[identity profile] drake57.livejournal.com 2007-09-15 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Mur watched it and loved it and said "now i'm going to be scared of ststues for the rest of my life", "Yes you are my dear" i told her. :)

"Blink" was the first episode of this season that I didn't hate. (I watched the demon-clown episode of SPN right afterward, which was foolish because I was alone in the house last night.)

Angels are the new clowns. *shudder*

[identity profile] million-moments.livejournal.com 2007-09-15 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I must be the only person not to have been frightened by that episode...

[identity profile] hergrace.livejournal.com 2007-09-16 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
This was the main episode that had my 10-yr-old hiding behind a chair (literally). The fact that there was a thunderstorm and the power went out (leaving my laptop on battery power to finish the story) during the middle of it didn't help. :-D
