bits'n'pieces: links to various things.

in lieu of actual content. *lazy*

Consider any of the following to contain spoilers...

My recent comic reviews (Buffy season 8, PKJ3, Dark Xena, New Excal #23): http://community.livejournal.com/comicfangirls/442152.html

Lots of Kara, Anders, Lee, etc. analysis (including Sam Carter): http://pataka02.livejournal.com/18746.html
Sam Carter sortafic: http://pataka02.livejournal.com/18958.html?style=mine

Vala round of the SG_femslash minificathon: http://community.livejournal.com/sg_femslash/70243.html

Kara/Anders comment ficlets and commentary: http://pataka02.livejournal.com/17805.html?thread=89485#t89485

And, finally, Sam/Vala commentficlet, but since the original post is locked, the text is under here (no spoilers, girls being sexy and naked, etc).

"What are you doing?" Vala demanded, not that she was objecting to Sam's current position, since there was a lot of ogling one could do when one's partner was half dangling off the bed, her ass up in the air.

Sam had very nice legs. Very very nice legs.

"Looking for my sock," was Sam's muffled response.

"Your sock is under the bed?" guessed Vala, moving a little so she was within touching distance. She trailed a finger across the back of Sam's leg.

Sam jerked, and suddenly was back upright, sitting on the bed and glaring at Vala, "Yes. And if I don't find it, I'm going to have to wear two different colors."

"And... that would be bad."

"Very," Sam said, her tone almost accusatory. As though, possibly, she thought Vala had something to do with the loss of her sock. "It would cause an officer of higher rank to consider me out of uniform. If there was a spot-check of some sort."

Thoroughly distracted by Sam's naked chest and stomach, Vala nevertheless found some breath to ask, "Do they do those often?"

"Well, no."

"Then what's your worry?" Pouncing, Vala rolled Sam beneath her, and smirked.

"Well, there's always a first?"

"This is more like your fifth," Vala purred, leaning down to kiss Sam's mouth.

"Or a second..."

And then Sam was very silent on the subject of her missing sock, and in fact, didn't miss it at all when they got dressed (much later than she'd intended), as Vala distracted her from it very very thoroughly.

Speaking of comics (hey, you did mention them!), I finally went and bought BSG #12 today, then re-read the whole series since it had been awhile. *happysigh* I really loved those!

I think I'm kinda getting into comics. I actually bought this one at D*C called Mice Templar (http://hiddenrobot.com/MICETEMPLAR/) that was just... so neat. I can't wait for the next issue.

Anyway, so I'm fresh out of comics in the meantime! What should I get myself next? Recs?

yay! Yes, that series was awesome. Year Zero, otoh, despite having Ellen on the first two pages is a black hole of SUCK.

*laughs*

Um. I don't know how much you were into Buffy, but the Buffy Season Eight stuff has been pretty decent, in terms of plot and art and writing. Super-hero-wise, um. Birds of Prey, maybe? And there's a bunch of Cosmic Marvel stuff going on that's really good--Annihilation and Annihilation: Conquest. Otherwise, X-Men, Astonishing X-Men and Uncanny X-Men are apparently not too bad ([livejournal.com profile] nique is reading them and she's picky). Finally, Ex Machina is supposed to be really good.

If nothing else, you can post to [livejournal.com profile] comicfangirls and ask around.
