damn, I need one of these icons with 'obsessed' on it.. oh, wait...

Hey, guys. Those of you who went to Dragon*Con. I believe it was [livejournal.com profile] thekatebeyond who said she'd seen two kids cosplayers adult-types dressed up as Sam Anders and Kara Thrace. Right down to the tattoos.

I don't suppose anyone actually got pictures of them? Or knows someone who did?

I need something to obsess on some more...

I did actually say at one point that if I actually saw someone cosplaying as Sam and Kara, my day would be made and I could stop going to con... But, yes. It would've been awesome if I'd actually seen them. Sigh.

Con is so much fun!

My mother has never been to ANYTHING like that in her life... only went this year to play babysitter for the nephews and to tour Atlanta, and other than my last panel she didn't actually do any of the con stuff and she thought it was totally fun and awesome and loved the fact that I introduced her to it.

Yes, I definitely saw them. (And more than one Kara.) It's one of those moments I am kicking myself for not having the camera ready. There were several of those moments. Several.

Lesson learned! (Of course, it would help if I had a camera light enough that I didn't start to look like Quasimodo after half an hour of carrying it around my neck. That's a goal for next year!)

AHHH. I saw the Kara, and when I did not have the camera. *sads* I went all mentally fangirly after she passed me and I realized that she did indeed have the tattoo, though.

I saw lots and lots of Kara's with varying degrees of awesomeness with the tattoos. (Some people had great detail. Some people drew a circle and the letter "F".) I didn't see any Ander's though!

BSG costumes are fun. I personally did a Racetrack one curtesy of my new bangs (that I didn't want but my stylist was "kind" enough to give me anyway.)
