Angel, Angel, Angel.

And now, to the Angel comments.

Am I the only one who is tired of this "I'm so dark and angsty, my kid was stolen" crap? I mean, one ep, and I'm already BORED.

Maybe it's that I watched Gingerbread, and it all morbidly got put into perspective.

Dunno.

But I really, really wish they'd have Faith pop up long enough to kick Angel's ass for being such an IDIOT. And, to, y'know, make cracks about her and him now being even closer since they've both tried to dust Wes. Although, at least Faith wasn't being all friendly to him.

Ever.

I found the Cordy scenes completely overdone. Maybe it's because all I had was the visuals (the sound was getting talked over, since I was at work), but I really wasn't all that impressed.

And. God. Charisma, sweetie, FIRE that hairdresser, and GIVE SHATNER HIS HAIRPIECE BACK. It looks horrible on you. Really, really, REALLY horrible.

I'm not even going to mention her clothes (3 changes, last count). First it's 70's Disco Fringe Frighteners; then it was that fuzzy peach "I'm pregnant!" look. And, finally, the faux-military "I'm in a Vigilante Gang" look.

Pick one. Stick with it. Try blue jeans. And a tshirt.

And now, the script.

Plot.

Whatever.

Too little Wes. If you idiotfucks are going to wimp out of KILLING HIM, at least give us more than a few stale death-bed scenes.

And then there's Gunn.

So, let me get this straight. A man, who has ALWAYS hated demons, considers them the SCUM of the Earth (Angel and Lorne slowly wearing him down), who wants to do nothing but protect his little sister... Sells his soul to a demon for a truck.

Bull. Shit.

You heard me. It wasn't cute. It wasn't neat. It didn't make me go, "Awww, how sweet."

Fact one: His sister staying safe was his life.

Fact two: His sister was alive when he bought the truck.

Fact three: He hates demons.

So. Why would he sell his soul to one?

And don't give me that "I was young, I was only 17." bullcrap. You can shovel that manure right back where it came from, buckies.

I mean, they're even contradicting this season! Y'know, that episode that was all about racial tolerance?

C'mon, people. Stay consistant!

So. I figured it out. This episode is filler. There was a different ep scheduled for now, but it was axed. So they had to scramble to fill out the 24 episodes of the season, and this piece of crap was the result.

And do not get me started on Gunn's soap opera dialogue. Although his comment about stick-women was well-placed. Even if it's just mocking.

Yeah, we keep seeing little bits of Wes throughout, indicating that maybe something would happen with him... but no. I watched the final fred/gunn scene... and the final angel/cordy scene... and said "hang on. they're not giving wesley a concluding scene. Hm... what dorks". They clearly just kept putting him in so we wouldn't forget what he looked like.

I dunno. Maybe Alexis had to shoot a movie or something. *shrug*

I'm hoping, however, that the OOH! SYMBOLIC! dismantling of the crib indicates that Angel will get off his butt and start doing something other than moping. Really, anything.

Next week, of course, we get new Buffy. I hope it's not filler.

Yeah, it was obvious filler. Couldn't even tell that was Marcus from B5 under all the demon makeup, either, such a waste. I did find the bit with Groo minding the desk amusing:

"Greetings, potential customer!"

He and Anya working together would be a hoot.

This episode was an obvious filler episode (hey let's do something with Gunn!....i have a great joke and the punchline is..he sold his soul for a truck! ha ha ha )
Wes they seem to be setting up for some grand sacrifice to redeem himself
Am i the only one who thinks this "Groo" character is totally useless?......here i thought the Cordy character was growing up and she goes all bimbo over a vapid conan wannabe (Groo the Barbarian in the comics is smarter than this guy) :)
I think Angel taking the crib apart symbolizes he's moving on maybe less angst now
I'd like to see Faith or Drusilla pop up

Okay, I have just recently come back to Angel after a long absence...thankfully, Pebblin and KJ filled me in on what was happening:

1) Yeah, Cordy...what the fuck? Just as I'm looking at her and thinking, "Yeah, I guess she has gro--", and then, "Groo?"

2) Freddie is giving me a toothache...

3) I still majorly heart Wesley. Those few and far inbetween scenes did tug at me. Ther better be a big redemption thing, especially after Angel got all, "We're not losing another member of this family."

This is all.
