The current news story about the girl who's being charged in her own rape is kind of like being reminded that women are still second-class citizens. 'Cause, god knows, those boys aren't responsible in any way, shape, or form.

All of you people up in arms over LJ taking away your kiddie porn? Why don't you use your outrage for something actually causing harm?

It's also weird to read the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal, and discover that the people reading it think the J-S is a liberal-biased paper. Which... it's actually fairly even-handed, which puzzles me, given its reputation as a conservative rag.

That said, I still want to bitchslap the guy who thinks money for education is a bad thing.

I read that article on the Houston Chron website, but I thought it was entirely fucked up that there was not one mention of it (that I recall) here on the local news.

Then again, I've felt the need to bitchslap the entire military command since 2001.

You're right. Bitching about the complete and utter over-reaction in my lj is worse than saying it in every post from people who can't shut up about it.

Next time, I'll make sure my sarcastic moral outrage doesn't include pointing out the pointlessness of defending fictional porn about underage children when real women are being abused by a system that no one really cares to change.

the Military mind is crazy. All Military are crazy. Men in uniform are great but a women are not. Hell no. ~This is just finding away to attack woman this kind of behaviour and discourages decent fair minded people from want ing to join up. This seems to pander to the witless and bullies.
