1. Still working at this job, despite the clear feeling that I'm not needed and they want to bring in someone cheaper... Still astounded by the stupid things I'm told to let slip by when approving invoices. Those procedures aren't worth frak.

2. Skiffy, in a monumentally bone-headed decision, has cancelled Dresden Files officially. This is sad, but not really unexpected after the lack of press on a second season.

3. According to the denizens of Skiffy's boards, I'm a boy with no IQ between the ages of 18-34, since I watch and enjoy Painkiller Jane. Noes. :/ And I thought those really were breasts down there.

4. There's this... new band, made out of people from a different one, and they're dabbling in electronica. But we're talking more Cause and Effect/Joy Division/early Depeche Mode and New Order electronica (especially with the dark edge, I vote Cause and Effect). Their name is stupid, though. It makes me sad. Luckily, the title of the single that's playing almost makes up for it. Blaqk Audio - Stiff Kittens. I'm kind of in love, but it might pass.

5. I'm almost finished with a longish BSG fic. Sigh. Now, if only I could get it to gel completely.

I heard them yesterday on one of my Sirius channels and had the same reaction. Pretty good stuff, no? I'm just wondering how the rest of their stuff is.

I poked their myspace page and fled in terror, because, well, it's myspace. I haven't gone after anything else, yet. And the cd isn't released... although it's called CexCells which makes me giggle insanely.

Yes its typical! If you don't have dangly bits between the legs supposedly we're idiots. I really did enjoy the Dresden Files. Peeved! Verily I'm peeved! Why is it that a 'smart channel' like Scifi always seem to cancel the interesting shows and keep and expand on the crap. Sending hate bunnies their way!

Best thing about Dresden is the interaction between Harry and Winifred's boy (sorry forgotten his name). They show so many different levels in their relationship.

Well it is. However we are talking about corporate world. As we haven't started our autumn schedule her in the UK but I so understand. Is the show any good PKJ because I really did like the introductory movie with Emmanuelle Vaugier. Going to watch the show before I make any comments.

skiffy sucks more and more these days. what annoys me even more than the NO Dresden Files is that they left us fans twisting in the wind for so very long when they knew they weren't going to let us keep it. And then SciFi didn't even break the damned news. No balls at all.

I'm honestly wondering if it was contract issues between Butcher, Skiffy, and the actors. And then it might also have been a decision where they sat down and looked at the ratings and the money being spent and hemmed and hawed...

And then Bonnie probably looked confused and said, "But this isn't wrestling, I don't understand what it is."

Which meant, well, if Bonnie can't figure it out, better cancel it.
