Y'know, I'm beginning to HOPE the HP segment of fandom moves someplace else. The trouble seems to originate with them. What would be even better? If they set up shot at GreatestJournal and the SAME THING HAPPENS. That would totally make my entire year.

Yeah, I was sitting here kind of marveling over the fact that this was the same fandom that just got into a huge kerfluffle over something else that could, from someone's perspective, be considered offensive, and now kind of . . . fails to see how anyone potentially might see this as offensive enough to want it gone.

yeah, exactly. Add in flailing, panic, and OMG!self-righteousness, and I have zero sympathy for anyone involved anymore. If people want to risk LJ suspension by posting that stuff, fully aware that LJ is nervous about it, then they can, but if it turns out badly... well, surprise, there are actual consequences to stupidity.
