This is a question that has never occurred to me. Even when I'm looking for the literary effect of observation without being privy to the characters' inner thoughts (as if the reader's POV were someone watching rather than one or more of the characters), I still work in prose. Or cartoons. And my scripts for cartoons (NC17 or not) only include dialog.
Maybe the reason you don't know how it's done is that you'll be the first!
