Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears...
It's hard to decide if my school library is pathetic or not.
On the one hand, they have Douglas Adams. On the other, they have Kiss of Shadows...
And they don't have a single copy of Anthony Trollope's The Way We Live Now. This is bad.
It's also sad that there's a ton of thriller types--the type you can find on supermarket shelves.
Speaking of which, KoS is also on those shelves. Oddly enough, I also saw a Diana Wynn Jones book on that shelf. No CrossGen, though. Schnucks loses.
Why do people set the font on notepad to freaking Lucida Console? That font is shitty.
Sadly, I sometimes feel a decline in the world when there is more Janet Evanovich, Terry Brooks, and Danielle Steele in the school library than, say, Agatha Christie, or Anthony Trollope.
I found myself oddly fascinated by a Julia Roberts movie this morning. I think it's left-over from watching Mutant X. Dying Young, I think. Predictable little piece of drivel. The actor was nice, though.
Got to see Trading Spaces, though. And, and... Something else---ah! A musical. Cover Girl(s). Nice movie. Stupid ending, though. And Rita Hayworth can NOT do drunk. Poor woman sounded (and looked) like she needed to be hit over the head first.
For some reason, I like the new Pink video. "Don't Let Me Get Me"... And Pink looks like Shai. o.O
Don't like her hair at the end, though. Ugh. Baby, get that mop off your head!
Realised something while watching Becoming part 1. Kendra is Commando Cutie. She's got the army tank top, muscles, tits, bad attitude, and need for order. It makes a scary sense.
The new No Doubt video is amusing. Do you think they hired the Nine Inch Nails production designer to do it? 'Cause, that's what it looks like. Lots of odd imagery, black and white photography, stupid clothes, water, sewers.... Sounds right up Trent's alley. Maybe he should sue.
On the other hand, there's Hole. I finally listened to the Celebrity Skin album. And was scared. The first song is, well, the normal Hole sound. But the rest of the album is Hole meets the Go-Gos. I had no clue Courtney could sound like a teeniebopper popstar.
I am thinking it's time to close. Need to do some stuff for the Iron Heart newsletter... Hrm... Warrior's Take on Buffy... must ponder...

Me, too. And I didn't think I liked her at all. But I gotta admit, her tunes are catchy.

I caught a middle three minutes of "Making Of..." for that video. I think it's based on an Italian fashion shoot of six years ago. At least that's what I thought I heard Gwen say. I'm not a big No Doubt fan, so I didn't pay much attention. :)

Really? on the No Doubt one. I could be really rambly, and start a long thought on No Doubt versus the Pet Shop Boys, but I shall be silent, and try not to sleep when I go to class.
