3:15, Tuesday, FBI building.
Scully blew out a breath and tossed Mulder's latest tabloid down on her desk. "I'm not sure I understand the point of alien babies, Mulder."
"Colonization, Scully." He called from his desk, nose buried in a different tabloid.
Suspecting he was looking at the naked Angelina Jolie pictures (who wouldn't), Scully poked the small story she'd been eye-balling with a finger. "Says here that's exactly the point of these people."
"Uh-huh."
Feeling mean, Scully continued, reading aloud from the article in her best lecture-tone, "People claiming to belong to a space fleet headed by the Battlestar Galactica and led by Admiral Adama were again photographed as they tried to find the capital building in Washington. 'We're just looking for a home,' Lee Adama stated. Adama, also known as Major Apollo, is the lead pilot of the so-called Galactica's squadron.
"More details were unobtainable as several police officers arrived on the scene and arrested them for disturbing the peace." Scully flipped the magazine closed. "I don't know why you insist on this."
"Research."
"Yes. Is she topless this time?"
"No."
There was a pause and Mulder pulled his nose from the magazine and eyed her. "Did you say Major Adama?"
"Yes." Scully stood. "I think I'll get coffee Mulder. Do you want any?"
After all, he might need something to go with his cream. Not that the thought was worthy of her. But, really, he could at least make an effort. Or shared the damned pictures. Scully hadn't gotten any in a while, and staring at a near-naked Angelina would be at least distracting.
"No, I'm good," Mulder waved a hand and disappeared back into his fascinating article.
"You buy Playboys for the articles, I bet," she muttered as she walked out the door.
