Thanks to a random conversation last night with karma_aster, I've discovered that I do, occasionally, understand and enjoy the boyslash.

Because there's this part of my brain that finds Cameron Mitchell/Samuel Anders to be, um, kind of attractive.

Now, it's possible it's spillover from my subconscious attempt to rationalize so I get Sam Carter/Kara Thrace out of the deal. But, um, it's also kind of hot. Think of the ARMS, man. And the cute looks. And the naked chests.

While I find Mitchell and Anders both to be very attractive, I do not have any interest in slashing them. In fact, I am not into slash at all. It's not that I am phobic bout dah gays, I luvs dah gays/bis etc... I just don't get off on slashing straight characters. I am weirds like that.

Now a nice lil gym action piece with Kara boxing/working out with Anders or Helo would be nice to read. Or Gaeta working out and sweaty with Kara. Oh how bout Leoben who is all streamy while sweaty!

Hey why is it Kara gets all the play on the ship? Looking at fic pairs, seems like 90% is Kara getting some.

Because Kara is hot.

And, normally, I'm all behind the "let's not slash the canonically straight guys" (and let's not get into the argument that, OMG, they haven't been PROVED to be straight, and MAYBE THEY'RE GAY... ). I, just... In this one instance? Yeah, I could see why it would be pretty.

I have zero interest in writing or reading it, however. I can visualize just fine on my own.

Anyway. Kara gets lots of play from me because it is my goal to have her sleep with everyone I can think of... Oo. I haven't had her frak Zarek yet. *ponders* (dude, last count? Papadama, Lee, Helo, Zak, Leoben, Dee, Kat, Tigh, Ellen, Sharon, Gaeta, Chief, Cally, and Sam Carter. Not to mention her husband. ;)
