Actually, that's not true. Most of the guys I know in real life with beards/etc look fine. But TV facial hair always looks kinda skanky.

I HATE facial hair except when it's:

1. A well-groomed goatee. THAT can look good on a man with the right facial structure. Stephen Strange, let's say, for example. Or Oliver Queen/Green Arrow.

2. Stubble. OMG stubblesosexyitfeelsSOgooddownthere. Like on teh sex in mah icon here.

Maybe the guys on tv either have too much (you don't need to look like you've been stranded on a desert island) or too little (either just stubble, or that dumb little "soul patch" thing). I don't know.
