Dreams, dreams...

I had a dream this morning...

I'm not sure how it started out. But along the way, I got my left eyelid pierced. Yes, pierced. Don't ask me the mechanics, it didn't hurt that much, and it didn't seem to impair my vision any.

Then I went to meet a bunch of friends at a hotel. This wasn't just any group of friends, some of them were online people. I'm fairly certain one was Smoot, another was IceyBob, and Drea was probably there, too. I also have the feeling one was Fanatic, though why I'd be dreaming about that crazy, I don't know.

We were together because there was a big convention of fanfiction writers getting together--some of the guests included stars from various TV shows, comic book writers, etc.

Interestingly enough, it was set in a town I've seen in my dreams before. Hybrid Chicago. It's the O'Hare/Rosemont area, with downtown Atlanta wrapped around it, and some New York and Toronto thrown in.

We ended up at the ATM in one of the hotels, which is where we were checking in. Smoot and I were roommates, and Rappy was supposed to be in later that night.

The others all got their various rooms, and we went to the convention hotel (across the street) and wandered the halls.

People thought I was cool for my new piercing. We were standing in a group in the main ballroom, just chatting away, when these two guys from some obscure TV show were very rude to us. Fanatic was a big fan of theirs, he knew every ep, could quote lines, and had written lots of fanfic about it.

At least, I think it was Fanatic.

Now is when it gets weird, though.

We went back to our hotel rooms (in a cross between the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and the Westin Towers in Atlanta), and people changed. IceyBob was suddenly Buffy's dad. Buffy and Dawn were with us (Drea and ?), and Fan turned into Xander.

I went to removed my eyelid ring (it was all sort of puffy and irritating) and I'd turned into Faith. Which didn't phase me a bit. I removed the ring.

Dad had words with Buffy about the care of his other child.

And I spent the rest of the dream trying to put my ring back in, and failing, because it started to close up after a few minutes.

No blood, either...

I'm beginning to like this hotel, though. This is the third or fourth time it has been in my dreams. Maybe it's the building I'll build when I win the lottery. I don't know.

Anyway. Later.
