I do not come with an instruction manual.

I probably should, though.

Um. HI. There appear to be newer new people around, and, er, thus, I shall attempt to note things that might make you run off in disturbance/etc.

1. I am obnoxious, loud, rude, generally opinionated... And sometimes very good at biting my tongue.

2. I know it's stated in my user info, but, um, I'm a hypocrit. I don't like Kara/Lee. (or Jean/Logan, Jack/Daniel, or Rodney/Sheppard, to name a few) I have been known to get quite loud and sarcastic about this.

3. RPF. Apparently, I'm creepy in my obsession with Katee/Starbuck. But, er, RPF isn't. Whatever. I can't throw stones, really, not after two Subreality Masquerades which featured the Python boys, Connie Booth and Douglas Adams. After he was dead.

4. Actually, now I want to go reread those. hrm.

5. I like my fic in a variety of ways, but if the characters don't feel in-character to me, no matter how well written, I... may finish it and not tell anyone. And, yes, I know my own fic veers wildly out of character. Did I mention being hypocritical?

6. Sam Carter/Kara Thrace is the hottest thing I've ever seen, read, considered, written and thought of. Hands down. You can't convince me otherwise.

7. I am obsessive. I think. I don't know. Did someone bring chocolate?

8. I'm also masochistic.

9. Anne McCaffrey wears better with time than Mercedes Lackey. Er. At least, the Planet Pirates' series does.

10. [livejournal.com profile] sf_incandescent's current SG-1 challenge is 'Nightwalkers'. Best episode ever.

11. Our cat is fluffy.

12. There is, er, hotness and randomness:
Fourth of July Fslash Porn Battle questing for prompts.
Multi-fandom-ficathon-fest for inspiration!
So, for those not on the Kara/Anders comm, [livejournal.com profile] latteaddict has some caps from the TV Guide interview. They feature the tattoo. The tattoo what is one of the sappiest frelling things EVER. Er, contains spoilers for LYDB2.

13. Pornapalooza should shortly resume. I think. Hrm.

14. I LOVE my new icon.

Huh. I didn't know you were loud. Have some chocolate.

Wait, these are things that are supposed to scare people off?

Also, fandom sort of glorifies obsession, you notice?

Obsession is good. Or at least, it better be, as otherwise, I'm screwed.

*offers* Virtual chocolate?

if the characters don't feel in-character to me, no matter how well written, I... may finish it and not tell anyone.

Shocking! :P

I do the same thing.

Unless the fic is really really bad, in which case it must be shared.

And this is why we love you.

I AM. I'm that horrible person in the movie theatre who's making comments all during the movie. Usually to my own giggling amusement.

Well, yes. I suppose I wasn't very clear, though. (Think if I put "will mock you incessantly for liking pairings I think are crap" it might help?)

It does. And this is not really new, although with the internet, it's gotten larger. If that makes sense.

Also, I don't know if obsessed covers it. Distracted by might be better.

Chocolate is love, baby.

I think we'd all be screwed if we could be arrested for our obsessions.

*laughs*

Sometimes, though, I feel bad. And then I remember that not all bad fic writers (or mediocre ones) ever actually get better withtime (I can show people Phil Hartman, of the X-Men comicsverse, f'r instance. The man is frakking prolific, and crappily mediocre. And has been since about day one. He just writes the same thing over and over--and, yes, so have I. er)

I suppose it helps that I throttle my innate pettiness well. *g*

For I cannot break my parent's conditioning of "try to be nice" that easily. Hrm.

You've always been a sweetheart to me. You're outspoken, brave, and have a finely honed bullshit detector, and I admire you for that. Tremendously.

We should chat more via IM.
