funniest fucking thing ever.

Chipmunk!BSG 'Valley of Darkness'.

Hands. Down. Just. So much amusment.

Chipmunk!Tigh brings the shouty squeaky anger, too. And chipmunk!Ellen is conniving and damned amusing.

I have discovered overwhelming love for season two. Er, more than I already had, yes. In fact, I haven't relistened to all of it, but I'm kind of leaning towards thinking season two is, ah, better. Possibly because it really offers no apologies for being utterly sick and twisted. Possibly because season one is very... clean and pretty whilst season two accidentally slit its wrists, fell in a mud pit, climbed out and dropped into the sewers. And, yes, that's a good thing, in my book.

There are also a LOT of recurring themes between episodes. I actually have descriptions that correspond to both s1 and s2 eps, and, er, yes. Must put up poll in a bit. (mostly in general terms).

Also finding that Roslin grates less. I get her motivation more. And Tigh is growing on me like a fungus. Damn him (but, dude, he really is just kind of straight, regular army. As Dad says at one point about himself, he's a soft touch. Tigh is the kind of commander that probably populated the Fleet).

SPEAKING of which. Er, not that I was, Dad obviously pulled strings to get Zak into flight academy. (based on his line to Lee in the mini 'I only did what I would have done for anyone else', and we KNOW he got Tigh his commission back). Wonder how many people he paid off. And how much of that was because of Zak's overwhelming desire to please his dad/do better than his brother--or did Zak really love flying?

Tomorrow, it's Six Degrees and Flesh and Bone, chipmunk-style. And possibly Resistance and The Farm again. Ok, I lie. Obviously, I'm going to listen to the latter two again.

The thought of Papadama saying, "Sometimes you have to roll the hard six" in a chimpunk voice amuses me to no end.

Mom. RULES. Yes. Her motivation.. really, really makes a lot of difference. Because if you didn't take into account that her #1 rock-solid, base thought is "We need to survive. No one else is remembering this. I need to get these people to a better place and then I get to die. Did I mention people have forgotten we have 50,000 and that's it!? No one is remembering this. Fuckit, I'm using everything I've got."

And she does. I really don't think she was 'in' to the Pythian prophecy as much as the drugs made her think it was a brilliant plan and that she noticed some actual thought behind the wacky faith-based stuff. I love her because she uses people and does so with thought, but does it anyway, because.. oh, yeah. THERE ARE FIFTY THOUSAND PEOPLE. Well, less now.

Just. Omg, the Mom love flourishes in me.

I believe things always improve on a rewatch. I watched Black Market last night, and didn't hate it.

Well, part of it is that she was completely aware that it was a valid tool to get her agenda fulfilled.

IT is frakkin' hilarious, actually. So is Lee saying it, and Jammer being all, "wtf?"

hah. Yes, well, this should make me happy, as I didn't hate it the first time I saw it.

Hi, here via [livejournal.com profile] galacticanews

Chipmunk!BSG? I'm intrigued.

I LOVE Valley of Darkness, it's one of my fave season two eps.

"Possibly because season one is very... clean and pretty whilst season two accidentally slit its wrists, fell in a mud pit, climbed out and dropped into the sewers."

That description is inspired, I love it! And yes, I think it's a good thing too, I love the dark angsty messiness of season two.

*laughs* Out of desperation, needing something to listen to at work, I audio-taped BSG episodes. But my fabulous tape player has variable speed, and thus, chipmunk!BSG. Which really is as funny as it sounds.

It's probably wrong that listening to people die and get shot at makes me giggle, but I can't help it.

I'm very fond of that description. *eg*

Hee! That DOES sound funny! I would guess that it's the intense seriousness and angst that would make the chipmunkiness so funny.
