A Month of Blue Moons; Chapter One: In Flagrante Rabbito
by ALC Punk!

"It's a rabbit, Lee," Starbuck said, her tone patient and amused.

Apollo glared at her. "I know what the frak it is, Kara."

She tilted her head and studied the bundle of pink fur currently sitting on Apollo's desk. "I think it ate last week's roster, too."

"Damnit--" He yanked the offending bunny off the papers and thrust it at Kara. "Take your pet and get lost, Kara."

"It's not my pet, Lee." She objected while still taking the rabbit.

"I don't frakking care. I want it off my desk, and out of my office, Kara."

She snorted and scratched the rabbit delicately behind its ears. "Fine, Lee, whatever you say." She considered a moment, then continued, "Come on, Apollo, the Captain's being an ass."

It took Lee thirty seconds to parse her sentence, which gave her just enough time to be halfway down the corridor. "Kara! You are not naming that thing after me!"

Starbuck just waved her free hand at him and continued.

"Kara!"

The phone on Lee's desk rang, pulling him from his objective. With a curse he threw himself into his chair and grabbed it. "Apollo." As he reached for a pen, he discovered that the rabbit hadn't just eaten a report. Lee glared at the small puddle sitting on top of his just finished roster. "Damn rabbit." He muttered.

"Sir?" Dee sounded disturbed.

"Nothing, Dee. Go on."
